not for "normal" first-aid kits but for extreme area ones, we were on an "emergency first aid at height" course which was addressing what to do if working at height & you had to triage a casualty to be able to move them to get them low where the ambulance could then deal with them & one of the main recommendations was a full roll of insulating tape!... for any break strap whatever has too many bends in it to whatever is next to it with the right number of bends.... ie strap finger to finger or leg to leg or arm to the side of the body or if there is a big leak just take your fleece strapped tightly over the top with the same insulating tape. A sanitary towel carried in first aid kits can also be appreciated both if forgotten by others or used for wounds. For kit repairs adding a needle & length of button thread is also worthwhile (& the needle can get splinters out). Takes up zero space.

If you ski with a pack on it is hard to get back up when you fall. The lighter your pack the easier to ski and to get back up. You are more likely to injure yourself if you have too much weight. Less injury requires less first aid. The backpacking level of this stuff should be plenty. Maybe add a couple of chemical hand-warmers. Even on a day trip carry a Z light pad to lay on in case you hurt yourself and have to wait for rescue. Hypothermia is likely your biggest medical threat. Fun to see your gear planning.

@@TonyHobbs Yes. Plus the one closer to your body will be warm enough to apply without hurting your lips. The one in your med kit will be harder. Just my experience.
