Some translations: "Utkikstornet" - Literally "The Lookout Tower" "Halmstad" - "Town of Straw" or "Straw Town" "Borrås Skåra" - "Borrås Groove/Slash/Rip" "Gothenburg" - "Göteborg" in Swedish, "Göte-borg" literally means "Castle/Fort of the Götar (Goths) (of Götaland)". "Götaland" being the province.

Ohhhh thank you! So that's what Borrås Skåra translates to! I was wondering about that, but couldn't seem to find a translation. Even google translate didn't come up with anything when I tried it last. I did learn while in Sweden a lot of names for things are very literal, and I have to admit that makes me kind of happy but I couldn't explain why it does hahahah.

3:58 this reminds me of that rock gauge in the iconic movie Ronja Rövardotter (Ronja Robber's Daughter) from 1984. If you can find the movie somehow with english subtitles you should definately see it, gather your family! It's one of Sweden's very few movie treasures. A very well known swedish singer, Tommy Körberg is singing together with others some very Nordic sounding chants in that movie. You won't be dissapointed!

Oh okay, I shall try to find the movie! Not sure how easy it will be to find english subtitles for it, but I know my grandma at least would love to watch it even without subtitles with me hahah. I look forward to the music, thank you! :)

Hi! In that tower in Halmstad there is actually an apartment. A long time ago, the forester lived there. In the eighties, I knew a person who rented that apartment. How cool was that?! Living in a unique tower! It's a dilemma to travel fast and far. There's so much you miss then. But it's nice that you had time to see a bit of Gothenburg as well. There is so much more to see. Gothenburg has a rich history and the Maritime Museum is really nice! The small village of Mjöbäck that you mentioned is well known for its production of prefabricated wooden houses (Mjöbäcksvillan)! I like your low-key way of storytelling. Not like typically American with 10 or 50 most "shocking" things🤣 you have to mention in every video😊. ATB

That super neat! We were wondering what else was in there because we passed a door that said private, but we never knew. That would be super cool to live there! I'd be on the top drinking my morning coffee with a view everyday lol. True fast and far does make it hard to see more places, but we did still get to see a lot along the way. Oh way more to see indeed! Just gives me an excuse to come back hahaha. We did get to go to one naval museum and I certainly have other places to visit once I get back to Gothenburg. Yes, my cousin was telling me about that. I guess our family has helped make windows for them. Thank you! I know my story telling isn't the typical kind you find online, and I've tried kind of doing it that way in the past but it just doesn't feel right to me haha. I'm very much a more relaxed and casual style of channel, but I'm also not trying to sky rocket subscribers to make money off the channel. A lot of Americans who have youtube channels are usually aiming for that.

Yes, those are two different cities in Sweden. 3:16 However Borrås Skåra is a rock gorge formation located between Varberg and Kungsbacka.

@@Ahldor Borrås Skåra. I'll try to translate it for you. Borr = Drill, Ås = this word is difficult to translate but it refers to something akin to a natural sort of rooftop line (the line where it slopes down on both sides of it on a mound/hill/rock/field/whatever). And skåra = a crack.

@@stoferb876 "En ås" is "a ridge", simple and clear. "En skåra" would be "a groove" or "a cut".

@@Ahldor Thank you. Ridge is the perfect translation for "Ås". So: Borrås Skåra = Drill Ridge Groove.
