We are a family- friendly community that has a love for flying the griffon mount. We love to stunt fly across different maps and play little mini games with our feathered friends!
Our plan is to have many griffon events and gatherings, competitions, giveaways and more! The main goal of [Wing] is to have fun.

Awesome showcase! On the odd occasion, I'll take the griffon for a recreational run.. It's always exhilarating.. provided we don't face-plant or clip terrain too early! One of my favourite short griffon routes is following Blish while mapping Echovald. After ziplining out of the Mori Village via Elder's Roost, there's a drop down to Lake Lutgardis, then into the tunnel leading to the Submerged Cathedral HP. For some reason, on most runs, I can successfully do zoomies all the way to the point when you need to go underwater. Always makes me go, "booyah!!!" Every map needs a small floating island up waaaay up in the sky that you can teleport to, giving you a quick jumping-off point.

These videos and the skill showed in them, trust me they're pulling some sick tricks if you haven't used the griffon yet, make me want griffons and other mounts to have way more combat habilities. Like an entire map dedicated to aerial combat where the players who don't have mounts (or decide to support on land) have to use siege equipment to allow us to engage aerial enemies and help them advance in the map.

i am always confused by the people who say that and then play like, everquest, wow, ff14, xD (i like the style of wow and ff14 for most part and such but to say the graphics are better is , questionable at best. just look at our griffons wings and their, most of the time paper wings in wow and such XDD) that said, i think people often confuse artstyle preferences and graphics :D

@@ThyWeepingWillow Well to be honest as a player of both GW2 and FF14 i think FF spell effects and animations look much better and now with the recent graphical update things like textures and lighting are looking pretty good too (in the content that got updated at least, some stuff is still a WIP). They probably have a lot more money to spend on updating their engine and assets than Arenanet. But on the other hand Guild Wars 2 open world and mounts just destroy FF14. There is just a lot more to explore and do in Tyria while XIV mainly use its world to have you go talk to npcs all over the place. I would say the two games have enough difference that it's worth playing both for variety.

skyscale does reduce the use of a lot of mounts, but , griffon is a good combo with skyscale still luckily, and beetle is ofc good too. i do feel a bit sad for mounts like springer, so i get ya

I have all mouns except griffon since everybody told me that Skyscale is just better. I just dont see people using them. Are they seriousl;y THAT FAST?

@@Viriusadles they are a bit faster than beetles speedcap! So yes, they are that fast :D they just require some knowledge and skill in use, which some people dont bother to learn. however if you take the time to learn it, griffon is the fastest travel companion you can have and its mechanics are complimentary with skyscale. skyscale is versatile but slow, and i personally use skyscale mostly to start off my griff skyscale is a good way to get the initial height needed for griff and thus, they work well together. what i personally do: i dash 2 to 4 times on skyscale, use glide booster, then griffon and travel the rest of the distance with griffons speed. its pretty fun and usefull once you get the hang of it
