I think you're way too hung up on the League of Lois thing, DC has the MESSIEST multiverse out there. A League of Lois Lanes run by Lanes who have had their Supermen turn evil and now hunt down potentially dangerous Supermen before they turn Dangerous, as well as artifacts and Myx, is no more out there to me than something like Detective Chimp. I think this was by far the best episode yet of the season.

The lois league makes some sense to me, each lois was very well regarded in their own universes and most likely discovered the multiverse in them, earning them high praise and funding to form their league, the part that doesnt make sense tho is the fact that the loises are the ones doing the heavy lifting instead of some military personnel.

This Myxzptlk was a lot of fun & gave major Bill Cipher/Beyonder (Moon Girl) vibes. The voice actor for Ferb did a great job as this take on Myxzptlk. I also really like his design resembling something like an actual imp or a Dragon Ball character as well as his personality being that of some sort of inter-dimensional con-man which actually really fits the character. Gilbert Gottfried will always be the definitive Myxzptlk (RIP) in my eyes but this one would certainly make him proud

I think the League of Lois's is a group that has deterred from it's original intention. Those Lois's might have come from universes that have evil Supermen, so they changed the league as more of a militant watch group. Since there are more good Supermen than evil the League's number has filtered down to just a few Lanes despite having such a large facility. They were so trigger happy and quick to consider that this Clark was on Mxy's side. They didn't apologize or look regretful at abducting Lois and Jimmy after everything was done. The league has a good shot of being a good once a season villain IMO.

You know, what I think is amazing is that beyond the whole multi-universe theme, the ending follows an aspect that has been developing throughout the series, which is Clark's fate in this universe? the General (which we can all assume at this point is Sam Lane) is sure that superman is a threat to the world, obviously Loise and Jimmy don't believe this at all, but for the first time Loise can see Clark as a real threat and worse she now has in her hands the biggest weapon to kill her boyfriend. In a way this is a way of doing what BvS tried to do about questioning how dangerous someone like Superman could be, but unlike that disaster of a movie, here we have an emotional connection to the antagonist and also we can see that Clark's morals are enough so that those evil futures do not come to pass.

I thought this episode was amazing. Even if we didn’t see it a ton this time around, Clark and Lois’s chemistry was as wholesome as ever and seeing them go crazy over their first date was cute. I actually really enjoyed the interpretation of Mxy in this and his design was great imo. I was surprised he wasn’t bested the classic way of saying his name backwards but I appreciated the relatively minor change since it made me wonder how they were going to beat him. I loved all the references to previous iterations such as the DCAU, Super Friends, and Fleischer cartoons and the little Easter eggs to other DC characters were fun to spot while watching too. I saw a Green Lantern, the Helmet of Fate, Stargirl’s Cosmic Staff, a Legion of Superheroes Flight Ring, Hawkgirl or Hawkman’s mace and possibly their wings, a T Sphere, possibly a Mother Box, and some book. The Book of Destiny, maybe? The ending was exciting too. I’m interested in seeing how Lois deals with the information of there being multiple evil Supermen in the multiverse and what she does with her shard of Kryptonite. Edit: I didn’t mind the League of Lois either tbh. I was still able to have a fun time while watching the episode, so all the minor details or inconsistencies weren’t enough to hinder my enjoyment in any way. Plus both DC and even more so Marvel across all mediums have a messy multiverse at best, so this didn’t really bother me.

At the scene where Lois saw clips of evil supermen, it was making her realize how much of a threat Superman could be. But, consider Superman's feats so far: he is doing his best to save as many people as he could without even understanding what he can do, risks his life without knowing he is bulletproof, saving a villain from dying to the alien tech that was used to try and kill superman, etc. As for the angry lois lanes that are trigger happy with Clark, they come from universes with evil supermen, so can't blame them for their hostile reaction and mistrust. And regarding Superman's quick recovery from Kryptonite, might be a reference to some Superman comics where he overcomes the effects and be immune to green kryptonite.

I Know this Episode is Weird but I do really Enjoy It, I don’t mind the change of Mr.Myxlplyx as it fits a strange character like him taking the Form of a Goblin and Dragon Ball Character, I Love the Past References from DC and Superman Lore’s Past, the Set Up of Krypton and Clark and Lois’ Relationship is Good, I’m aware that the League of Lois is Confusing but I seen so many of the Multiverse that I would give it a Pass as anything can be Different, the Action and Animation are Great, either those Kryptonite Guns are meant to Stunt or Clark being in a Desert with the Yellow Sun regenerated in Cells Faster, and honestly I have tons of Fun with this Slice of Life Episode I can’t be mad at it,8 out of 10, It has Flaws but I still get a Smile on my Face.

I feel like having Mxyzptlk opened up the series to have another bad guy in the show. Maybe in this season it will be the alien tech that will be in the finale, but then they could cliff hanger into having the evil superman come to their world. Or maybe the evil superman comes to this world and then causes the people of earth to want to be protected from aliens which gives the current bad guys more of a reason to get more tech. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with this.

I actually think that the loises winning the pulitzer prize will be relevant in future appearances of the League, because it's highly likely it was outing Clark as Superman, whicha was then the catalyst for Superman turning evil in their dimensions, the break of trust between Lois and Clark was caused by those Loises valuing their ideals higher than the relationship.

the show has a thirty minute run time and respects the viewers enough to forego full exposition. this means if it doesn't actually matter, they won't show it. how did she escape? doesn't matter. she's resourceful and the ship responds to her by nature of being a Lois, figure it out. the leader even explains that they never wanted her help, they wanted her out of the way because she's just enough like them to cause problems. I never understand how people can pinpoint every easter egg but completely miss lobs like that. also, your bias is showing. you're totally okay with a universe where Superman is a crab, that's not ridiculous...but a small group of Lois Lanes who decided to take action after dealing with a rogue Superman?! she can't do that. "she's just a love interest". 🙄

Ok watched the episode and since people have discussed the obvious things....I'll go with my hot take. The entire plot is Mxy fucking with this version of Superman. Wait lemme explain. If we go with the implication that Mxy is a multiversal being who is perhaps the same one who met TAS supes... Mxy has fun messing with Superman. It's fun and scratches that itch. I believe he plays a different game with every Version of Superman he encounters. Some versions he plays nice games, some he plays more malicious games....depending on the feel he gets from the Superman. He could have gone to an evil Superman or even an amoral Superman for help if he was really in any serious danger. But this whole plot....is the prank he's playing on this version. Take a version who has no idea about who he is or what he's truly capable of and drop a few hints about his history....get him zapped with kryptonite and mess with the head of his Lois, first by introducing her to "better" versions of herself to fuel self esteem issues.....(remember Episode 1 Lois was desperate to prove herself....a possible... sign that things weren't great for her career wise) Then potentially tanks the romance by guiding her to an orb showing evil Supermen and a kryptonite gem. Why? He wants to see what happens next. Will this Lois become so scared of Clark that she gives the kryptonite shard to her dad? Will she say fuck it and be honest? Would she gain a sense of insecurity or be inspired by her alt selves? Mxy wants to see the result. Mxy was never in trouble. He was never weakened. The Lois league was never a threat, just unwitting tools in his prank. He lied the whole time, laughing his arse off every moment he could.... We will see him again....probably mad that things didn't result in the chaos he wanted.

I was also wondering why the League took Lois & Jimmy aboard, but thinking about it, I came to a plausible conclusion. They might've been scouting them to see what they knew about their Clark & how loyal they were to him. They obviously decided that this Clark was a threat & so, their loyalty to him made them not up to par to joining the League. In this sense, I believe the League was founded on truly good intentions, but after some rogue Supermen, it gradually shifted into being more of an antagonistic force for any Supermen who step out of line, whether intentional or not.

The reason why Superman was able to work through the Kryptonite because it was a short lived liquid Kryptonite so that it pretty much work as tranquilizer and also when Myx got into the league of Lois's HQ and when he opened the vault for what he was looking for you can see a Noisy Cricket from MIB on the second top shelf on the left hand side and from the second shelf from the bottom on the bottom right hand side you can see something that looked like the Wabba Jack from the Elder Scrolls series

Definitely the most fun episode in the series so far. It introduced Superman, Lois, and Jimmy to the DC multiverse, Mr Mxyzptlk, the name of Clark's home planet Krypton, and green Kryptonite. I am annoyed that the evil Superman trope found its way to this series, but I am at least glad that Clark and Lois had their first official kiss. Also, the league of Lois is implied to have versions of Lois that have not only lost their versions of Superman, but their versions of Superman were the evil ones, which would explain why they weren't with their respective versions of Superman and couldn't give the main Superman the benefit of the doubt, even though the whole situation of the episode is a misunderstanding. They have most likely seen the horrors of what an evil version of Superman is capable of.

League of Lois is a group of award winners reports who don't bother to do any research and go guns blazing on any Superman with short term kryptonite. "The Clark is secure." Clark almost immediately flies off to try and save his Lois. Yep real secure.

I didn't really have a problem wit the League of Lois Lanes. They seemingly come from universes where Superman became evil, so the idea that they'd take charge against any other Superman who have the potential to become evil across the multiverse isn't really a huge stretch. Or at least I thought it was relatively easy to go along with. I don't really see this as a mid-season lull either, especially when this episode was really solid. There were plenty of cute romance moments between Superman and Lois, the nods to previous Superman media and other DC heroes were cool and it was pretty engaging with a good setup with Lois having knowledge of evil Supermen and the first bit of Kryptonite. I do think it was weird that a multiverse episode is how Clark learns about Krypton. It might not be a huge deal when he still doesn't know anything about his home planet or how he ended up on Earth, but it did feel like a weird way for Clark to first hear about his home planet. While introducing the multiverse in its first season might be a bit too early, I think it does work for both Clark and Lois's sense of identity. Clark has always wanted to just be a normal person and being told that he's never normal in any universe did seem to hit him hard for a moment. Lois not being a proper reporter, let alone prize winning journalist like all of the other Lois in the multiverse, also clearly hit her pretty hard. That's one reason why the buildup to their first kiss was so great. Both Clark and Lois were venting their frustrations over their flaws, only for them to reassure each other instead, leading up to their first kiss.

I'm honestly just glad they didn't make this Earth another Earth-1 and gave all the other Earths unused numbers. The animated movies and shows that deal with the Multiverse always had a problem of saying "I'm Earth-1" even though they aren't. Don't even get me started about how both Stargirl and Pattinsons Batman are both Earth-2. Admittedly The Batman was only called Earth-2 by director statements but still.

I personally thought that the League of Loises was a parody of the the Coucil of Reeds, like how the Council of Ricks were. The Council of Reeds was largely ineffectual, and when you started to poke around the idea, it falls flat. Never mind that we're on a new kind of multiverse since the Dark Multiverse forge thing. I would like Mxyzptlk to cook a little more, because I currently see his current endpoint being a variation of "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?"

My guess is that each Lois in the league are ones where their Superman went bad -- and possibly they were at least somewhat responsible in stopping his threat. Throw in a chance meeting from someone in the future where at least one Lois was able to leverage the tech and they started gathering more.

The part about Lois's lack of a link to the military is far from the truth. I just looked it up, and her father, Sam Lane, is a member of his universe's US army, and if I remember, he held the rank of a 4-star general when he appeared in Supergirl. Speaking of, I just realized that some of the more mundane ethnic characteristics are somewhat similar between the General, whose name we have yet to hear beyond his generic rank, and this Earth's Lois do look surprisingly similar.

This was a fun episode, especially everything to do with Mxyzptlk. But yeah, the whole League of Lois Lanes thing was odd. I loved the references and I really enjoyed the Kingdom Hearts reference with the "key to the city" Lois. Ultimately, it is pretty weird that they learned about Krypton (mildly) and Kryptonite through a Multiverse episode, and that there even was such an episode in the first season. Minor note, but I liked the holograms showing multiracial/multicultural doppelgangers of Lois. It's like the show is acknowledging it pulled a Race Lift on this Lois and is saying "Yeah, it's just a thing. There's a Native American Lois right now." Although it's a bit odd/a missed joke that they had a hologram of a Black Lois Lane but they didn't use the design from the "I Am Curious (Black)" story in the "Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane" comic.

There are multuples DC multiverses, all part of the omniverse. Comic book Earth12 is a comic book version of Batman beyond (not the same from the show, but similar). The animated shows are in their separated multiverse, just like the live action stuff.

I'm okay with a League of Lois Lanes because it's infinite universes, meaning infinite possibilities, meaning that yes that means a League of Lois Lanes is one such possibility. Who knows, maybe we'll get the Council of Clark Kents in a future episode.

I feel like Louis finding out Clark is Superman should have been S2E1 and then this episode as S2E3 with S1 still have Clark figuring out who and what he is. It's fine that these happened, I just think (like with many other shows) it happened way too early.

I have a theory. It might do something like invincible in the comics. I think a bunch of evil superman will be teleported in our superman's world and Clark will have to fight evil versions of himself and the world will outcast him and lois and Jimmy and Clark's parents are the only ones defending him and task force x will go all out to kill superman.

I completely agree with you on the league of Lois stuff. It makes absolutely no sense. To be honest I am not a fan of having multiple of the same character from multiple multiverses form some team, I don’t see why it just can’t be a league with all sorts of people and we can still have multiple Lois’s on the team.

I honestly liked the team of Lois’s. My major reasons is one, it’s definitely something different. And unlike Purest I don’t mind different. My second reason is it give something else to Lois. Think about it, Mary Jane at some point had spider powers, and even a Symbiote. Jane Foster was able to wield Mjolnir and become mighty Thor; then she later became the current Valkyrie. What does Lois lane have? I mean sure I have one point she has superman’s powers, but that was in the All-Star Superman, and was temporary. Plus, it’s like you said she’s just the reporter & love interest. So for me, I thought this was interesting. To me, it does make sense because who knows superman better than Lois lane? It makes sense that there are alternate Universes where Lois & Olson come together to defeat evil versions of their dearest friend.

This was the first episode that disappointed me… I wanted to see a fun new take on Super-Man but this episode takes that away and welcomes us the multiverse as if we’re not tired of this trope by now. Now it’s affecting the plot by revealing he’s a kryptonian so soon alongside his biggest weakness. Not to mention that setup at the end based on evil Superman.

I didnt need this to tell me this was in dc multiverse. All dc dhows are somewhere in their multiverse. Like with flash didnt need it to show me all those spheres i knew the other supermen existed in the multiverse. Just like marvel exists in the multiverse just a different set of earths farther out and they count their ersths with their characters and comtinuity as their own numerical.numbers.

Why is the League of Loises ridiculous if it’s clear these are the Loises from every universe where Superman has gone bad and and the troupe of Lois is to initially find out all she can about Superman? The oldest Lois said she recruited the others. And if the episode is making you ask why, then it’s doing it’s job it’s job. Why would you expect to learn all those answers in one episode of a series?

My theory is that the league of Lois’s members we see are probably ones from ultra man and commie Superman timeline and something a like , basically the ones that are less likely to know Clark is mostly good
