Emotional First Visit to Busch Stadium!

This is my vlog of my first game I’ve attended at Busch Stadium in St. Louis! It was an amazing experience to be among Cardinal Nation! Checked out the Ballpark Village, saw where the old diamond from Busch II once was, saw the spot where David Freese’s Game 6 home run landed, talked to Fredbird, checked out some Cardinals memorabilia and merch, and of course… Ate a ballpark hotdog! Also the Coca-Cola was the best I ever tasted! I never want to forget this day, hence the video!

I went to college in downtown St. Louis. After classes I would drive down to the arch, park my car, and walk up to ballpark village to watch the ballgame that day. Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village will always have a special place in my heart.

As a St. Louisan, I applaud your emotions getting the best of you there at the start. You stood among the presence of literal gods of baseball, a town that has developed and hosted some of the most Elite names to ever play the sport. Some of the greatest ever in history played at Busch Memorial Stadium, aka Busch II and currently Busch III. You stood at the gates of Baseball Heaven, George, and that feeling was our Savior, Stan Musial, welcoming you in with open arms and a St. Louis smile. There is just something....emotionally different...about Busch Stadium. You can FEEL the team's history and how it has developed DTSTL as a whole. Every summer I take a vacation out to visit my family in STL, and I catch a game with my dad. I get emotional soon as I land at Lambert. You can take the boy out of St. Louis, but you will never take St. Louis out of the boy.

I've been to several baseball stadiums, but nothing hit me like that. Been watching the Cards for 40 years and it just blew my mind to be here for a couple of games! Can't wait to go back!

I practically grew up in Busch Stadium II and have been to Busch III dozens of times yet I still get the way you did every single time. It truly is Baseball Heaven! ⚾️

Busch Stadium is electric! I’m fortunate enough to have visited the old and the new, what a beautiful place. Some great memories there. The atmosphere is top tier in the world of professional sports. So much history, and Cardinal Nation is damn proud, rightfully so! I’m so happy you got to experience it. I can’t wait to be back in August to see the Yankees play. Being a Yankees fan, your video brought back my first memories at Yankee Stadium. I know exactly what you mean by “being around my people”, it was an emotional day, one I’ll never forget. I know you won’t forget this one!

I really enjoyed this video and I'm only 4 minutes in! I grew up in Kentucky so my "uncle" would take me to Cardinals games as a kid. I've been in Florida for yearssss now and Rays/Marlins games do not compare to the energy and love the fans have for Busch Stadium and the Cardinals. I am so glad I was able to make it to the Dodgers @ Cardinals this year. 16-8 Cardiansl win... What an incredible game! First game since my "uncle" passed" away. Considering the emotional grasp it was a treat to show my Father around STL as now I am the tour guide lol.

I live right across the river in Granite City IL. Busch is my home Stadium. I go to Cardinals games as often as I can. I love Busch. I love the atmosphere, the fan base, and especially exploring Ballpark Village. My favorite place in the world is Busch Stadium.

I’m about to go to St. Louis for the first time in a few weeks to watch one of the games against the nats with my brother…. I’m only 21 so I kinda didn’t have to wait as long as you to catch a cardinals game but it’s still gonna be emotional for us, I remember when I was a little kid watching the 06’ World Series and going crazy when our red birds won

Greg, I know exactly what you mean about Busch. I was fortunate enough to be a usher 2018-2020. Gate 3 (Musial Statue) was my gate. I was there for Albert’s return with the Angels and let me tell you it was magical. I now reside in St Petersburg and began working as a fan host at the Trop last year. Go Cards!

Busch Stadium is a very neat Ballpark. You will have to check out Target Field home of thw Minnesota Twins.

Best place in the world to watch a game. I know ppl talk about Chicago, NY, Boston and LA as iconic places to go for baseball games but the heart of baseball of baseball lies in STL. The best atmosphere you are going to get.

Was Langford 1st roommate in minors and had locker next to John Tudor when he was on rehab assignment in extended spring training

Went to 4 games last week. I love the Cardinals they mean a lot to me and always will. Busch is a great place. The Cards organization is a family and once you wear the STL you will always be a Cardinal. We as fans are also considered part of the family which is why everyone are so loyal and devoted. Loved Tudor too he was nails in the 80’s. Going to try to go to Tampa when Cards play there next time

Soda at ballparks are inexplicably the best. I’m a coke guy and the best soda I’ve ever had in my life was a Pepsi at Yankees stadium. Hahaha

Definitely a cool video. Have loved that I've been able to go to a few games here and there only living 2 hours away from St Louis and my dad's from there. I still remember going to a game where pools hit two or three home runs five RBIs with a two-run shot to win it in the bottom of the 9th against the Reds I'm pretty sure. I definitely know what you mean about the Rays games LOL I've been to one of those too very very quiet lol
