The fact that you can fix all the things on your boat is just incredible. Mechanical prowess like yours is exceedingly rare in this digital world. Good on you, brother.

I have to admit when I first came across your channel I wasn’t impressed. But your determination and honesty endears you. I love your comment that you “don’t do maintenance these days, I do repairs!” I am sure so many of us can relate to that! I certainly can. Not least to my marriage. Well done Seadog…you did the impossible….you won me over 😊

Surely an “portable “ in-line water purification system would be easy to put together. A hose to fit onto the tap through a ceramic, charcoal & infrared filters and then into your containers. Or even a few hiking style life straws.

Love the way Barry surveys the wreckage/mess in the cabin and says what we need is 'a big clean up'. Then proceeds to disappear off to shore for pizza and beer and forget all about the big clean up 😂😂 I think the term 'Grotty Yachty' was invented for Barry 😁😁

That brought back so many wonderful memories from dozens of holidays in the Fiji Islands. Sadly we can no longer afford to make the trip. One year I met a group of sailors at Musket Cove Bula Bar who had sailed through a storm on their way from New Zealand. One yacht had lost its mast and another lost a crew member over the side during the night - fortunately they found him. He was still in shock when I met him in the bar. The fleet was going on to Vanuatu but the guy was taking a flight back to UK - can't say I blame him. Hope you call in to Musket Cove - we used to have a timeshare there but the lease ended and it may now be a Chinese owned resort. Safe travels.

Respect Barry. I'm currently sailing around your old county of Cornwall until March but I have 'four wheels on my wagon.' As you have so often made clear you have to be ready for the unexpected and things will definitely go wrong. The difference is that I have two feet under my motorhome and not 500 fathoms! Respect.
