I have been to Yosemite many times and it’s my favorite national park of all the ones I have visited so far…I don’t think any other park can bump it off it’s #1 position for me. You both did an amazing job showcasing how spectacular it is. Thanks so much for your content, I love your videos! Looking forward to seeing you and Kona on your next adventure. ❤

When I saw you filmed and posted videos in National parks it was one of the first things that came to mind. Glad you were able to schedule it but it's also sad imho that this is required, it's not like you're setting up a movie set to document your adventures.

I wanted to thank you for getting the permit so that you could film in the park. As a Californian, Yosemite is the only national park I have visited multiple times, but I haven't been there in many years. Usually when I watch your videos, it is to see places I either hope to visit or to see places I cannot visit myself. It was wonderful watching this video and remembering the many beautiful places I have seen in Yosemite. As always, your videos are awesome!

When I was little, I used to get to go camping in Yosemite on a regular basis. I remember getting up at night to use the bathroom, and bears would be roaming the woods freely, and we were not scared, they did not bother us! I love Yosemite, we are so lucky to have that park here in Cali.

I live in CA and have been to Yosemite many, many times. My parents used to take us camping in the valley every spring break. One early spring I rode my bike around everywhere in the valley. It was my absolute favorite way to explore and really see the valley. Every season is magical. The sunset on half dome, the fall colors, the snowy winter wonderland and snowboarding Badger Pass, the stunning waterfall snowmelt in the spring. I'm glad you made it up to Tuolome Meadows. Thanks for sharing your adventure ! You actually did some things I've never done so now I need to go back!😊

As a trucker I only had like 4 hours after I got into the park to see it. It was nice and cool I think it was in April 2 years ago but we made it to the sunset at the waterfall and the stars light up the sky so much I got epic pics with my iPhone of all the stars and moon. I sure want to go back. Most national parks I been to I’ve had almost whole day to check out but Yosemite is like 2 hours from a city.

You've filled in many gaps. Thank you. Now with knee pain hiking is only done in videos. The only I didn't miss was all the mosquitos. Lol.

Tuolumne Meadows is my favorite base camp destination in Yosemite. I generally plan on arriving the East side of the park in mid to late-September, when the crowds have abated and the cold nights have addressed the mosquito population. However, the tourist crowding in the valley is too high even in late-September for my full enjoyment.

What a wonderful video of my favorite place in the world! I first went there in 1958 when my family moved to California. We stayed in the old Glacier Point Lodge (since burned) and watched the original “firefall” of burning brush. How our standards have changed! My favorite place in the park is the Gaylor Lakes Basin just over the ridge from the Tioga Pass entrance station. Many very fond memories. Thank you.

We did the "fast tour" in April, two days driving in the truck and stopping at the points of interest along the way, without going on any of the hikes (we did walk Bridalveil Falls and Yosemite lower falls carrying our 10 lb Chiweenie). We had our dog with us, so we managed what we could and still had a great time. We needed weekend permits to enter, and our stay at the nearby Yosemite RV Resort campground worked out well for us (nearby to the Park and dog friendly). We'll probably go back for another visit in a few years to do it all over again. Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL

You really packed a lot in that first day with the hiking and biking! We were at Yosemite in 2015 and enjoyed 3 days there but after watching this video, we have got to go back! Plus there was a “control burn” and there was some smoke covering the mountains, sometimes. It was mid-October and we had sunny, mid to high 80 degree temps. (I was expecting cooler weather and brought my long underwear! ). Another wonderful video; so glad you got to share the park with your parents!

Yosemite is number one on my list of favorite National Parks. We used to live 40 miles from it, but even though I might be biased, it is just "magical" (as you said). We visited the park many times, even in winter. You're right that Yosemite has so many things to see. There is such a variety. During tourist season, the valley gets very busy, but we would go up into the high country (Tuolumne Meadows) and beyond and spend the day. Such a great video highlighting (all MY favorite spots), you guys. Great job!

I love that view from Glacier Point too, facing the side of Half Dome. Other favorite spots are the Emerald pool, just back a bit from the top of Vernal Falls and on Tenaya Creek just past Mirror Lake and look straight up the face of Half Dome! I have to say it again! Last year I broke down and purchased an inflatable life vest. So much better, I kick myself for not doing so earlier. So much easier to paddle in, so much cooler to wear and I didn't get an automatic one so I can even dunk myself with it on. You two should really think on that expense, worth every penny if you ask me. Love what you two get up to, I originally picked you up when you did BC, Yukon, etc but you are both so engaging I'm still here!

It's cool to see adults visiting the park for the first time with cameras that can film. The first time I went, I was 10 years old in the 1970s, so my reaction probably wasn't what it should've been. I don't think we took any pictures. There were very few people there, and we rented a cabin. I mostly remember the raccoons outside the cabin because I wasn't familiar with raccoons at that point. We went hiking, but there is so much amazing scenery where we live in Idaho and we traveled all over the country regularly. The point is that the USA has incredible natural features and only some of them in parks.

Great video of Yosemite! I’ve been to the top of Yosemite Falls many times and it can be brutal during hot weather. I’ve seen people go up there without water and doing so is a mistake. I once saw people on that Lost Arrow next to Yosemite Falls which is crazy. My favorite hike was going to the summit of Clouds Rest. You don’t have the crowds like Half Dome and the view is incredible from there. Another one was Waterwheel Falls which is some distance but during spring runoff it is an awesome sight to see.

Beautiful video, as always. Somehow in all our travels we have not yet made it to Yosemite, and watching your video reminds us just how much we need to get there. Thank you!

Beautiful video (as always 😉)! I went to Yosemite last summer so it was fun to see all these places again! I am with you - the crowds in the valley definitely got to me at times as well. But watching sunset from glacier point is something that will stick with me forever. The mist trail is so fun- one of my fav National park hikes! I’ll have to go back for tioga road! Had it on my list but ended up not having the time for it 😢 thanks for sharing!

Awesome job (as always)!! You captured Yosemite’s splendor admirably even with the filming permit limitations. Seems like they may need to add different tiers to these commercial permits. Ridiculous that a vlogger would have to jump through these hoops. Looks like you had an amazing time and were able to see so many different areas of the park. Yosemite is just so incredible. It is like it was designed with intent. Your video got me very psyched up. I will be there in two weeks with my oldest. Yosemite is my absolute favorite park. This will be my second visit and will have to pleasure of doing Half Dome again and this time it wont be solo. Planning to do Clouds Rest too but will need see how the bodies are feeling.

Thanks, Michael! The permits are definitely a pain and to be honest we're done with filming national parks (we did film one more after this) until they revise it a bit 😅. There are just too many hoops to jump through. We're glad our video got you excited! As you know Yosemite is out of this world and is worth going back again and again! We hope you and your oldest have a great time! Let us know how it goes and what y'all did!

Great video! I visited Yosemite 39 years ago! We did Yosemite Falls trail one day and Half Dome to the top and back another day! Tioga Road and Glacier Point were still closed mid June. We were lucky they just put the cables up Half Dome.

So wild how I keep ending up just a few weeks behind you guys in our travels. We you guys were leaving Atlantic Canada when I was heading out last fall and now you guys just did Sequoia & Yosemite just before me, again 😂 I just moved to Austin from Toronto Canada. Definitely should meet up some time! 👋

Just got back from Yosemite and we hiked down from glacier point through the panorama trail all the way down to the happy isles area and it was so amazing. We saw a bear walking towards us on the trail so that was crazy lol we then took the glacier tour bus back to the parking lot and then got to drive down to Yosemite valley and explore.
