No it’s not weird. We enjoy seeing that in others videos also. Sometimes we just don’t think that stuff will be entertaining because it’s the same thing everyone else has to do we just do it in a different place every time. We are trying to incorporate a bit more of that stuff though. Thanks for watching!

The Galleta Meadows sculptures were SO cool, my favourite was the dinosaur by far, but I think it's thanks to you guys doing the slow mo running from it - classic! Ladder Canyon was amazing. I've never been there before, but it gave me plenty of nostalgia for other hikes through canyons. I never got the In n Out burger hype, but unlike you both, it never grew on me. Do they still only offer beef burgers and their version of veggie is just salad in a bun? The dates milkshakes looked amazing. I adore dates, and can see why you think there might be a bit of a caramel taste as I think dates are really caramel-y.😋 I never knew dates were so expensive to farm, but given the costs of them in supermarkets, it makes a lot of sense. A real shame you had to cut some things out of this trip - curious to know if any of it was Palm Springs (I'm a sucker for mid century modern, so would love to see you guys take us on a tour round there!) but I'm very much looking forward to your Joshua Tree video next!
@AdventuresofAplusK2 жыл бұрын
Funny enough, we thought it was a dinosaur, but it was a sloth lol! A Harland's Ground Sloth, which is much larger than a regular slot haha. You would really love Ladder Canyon...it was a ton of fun! I don't think they have a veggie burger there, but we could be wrong! We aren't a huge fan of their fries, but unlike some burger spots, they get the cheese nice and gooey on a lettuce wrap, which isn't something that all places do. Unfortunately we had to cut an entire Palm Springs video to prioritize Death Valley instead, but to be honest, we would rather go back without the van when we could experience it like a true tourist without Kona.

I've had a 400mm... they're awesome!
@AdventuresofAplusK2 жыл бұрын
The camera can sometimes make things look scarier or less scary, but it was pretty tall and almost vertical and since they aren’t attached and wobble, it’s a bit scary to think it may fall over. Adam was a bit scared too, but of course everyone's idea of what is scary is different!
@jamiewalters42 жыл бұрын
@@AdventuresofAplusK Just to clarify, I wasn't being critical or saying it wasn't scary... I have no doubt it was... just that the camera perspective didn't convey that very well. I've been on similar climbs and they definitely can be a bit scary, particularly if the ladder isn't attached!

another way you can get to Joshua Tree National Park from Ladder Canyon is to take Box Canyon Road as soon as you come out of the road to Ladder Canyon you go left on Box Canyon Road instead going right to Mecca. Lots of wildflowers in Box Canyon if it is a good rain year. You go north on Box Canyon and it will take you right to the south entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. There is some free BLM camping area right at the entrance. Or you can go into the National Park to Cottonwood campground, great campground if you have an RV or larger vehicle, bathrooms and water available in the campground. Only downside here is no shade. From there you can drive north thru Pinto Basin, Tirkey Flats San Dunes and Cholla Cactus Gardens then go north thru the park and then exit at either the north entrance in Joshua Tree town or exit in Twentynine Palms. South entrance always less crowded than North entrance, while the south part of the park does not have Joshua Trees it has some other interesting features.

Hi, I hope your adventure in Asia is/was good? But after watching your videos - I answer this question by myself ;-). After searching for some nice places for my Roadtrip to Joshua Tree NP, I found both of you again - like 2021 were I was looking for awesome places for my 2 month USA trip. This year I will make exactly the same trip to Joshua Tree NP from San Diego and than over the Death Valley to Vegas. So - thx for this inspiration for my trip this year

Solid little road trip vid!!! Hikes with unique features are the best. And you can't not get In-And-Out Right??? That was my first stop the last 2 times I was in Arizona in the last couple months and I'm not ashamed...especially after I discovered you can order the fries Extra Crispy!!! Game changer. Curious to see your thoughts on Joshua Tree...I loved it there. Oh I almost forgot!...THAT PIE...my goodness. That is my all time favorite flavor...starring that for a visit someday for sure.

Our friends told us about the extra crispy trick and we totally forgot to do it! 😩 Good thing we are in California for another month haha, we will have to try it!

@@AdventuresofAplusK Definitely try it...you can even to EXTRA EXTRA crispy, but I thought that was a bit much. Ever try the fries Animal Style?
@AdventuresofAplusK2 жыл бұрын
We don’t loooove their fries, so we are curious if they will be better extra crispy! (I mean we still eat them lol, but not our favorite fries). I’m not a fan of the special spread, so we haven’t tried animal fries.

Hi guys! I love this vlog! I’m going to Joshua Tree NP this weekend and I’m thinking about checking Galleta Meadows, maybe use my drone. Is it allowed to fly the drone? Is it located outside the state park?
@AdventuresofAplusK Жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer! Galleta Meadows is not in Joshua Tree NP so it should be ok to fly the drone. I would definitely recommend checking some of the apps like AirMap and OpenSky before flying anywhere though just to be safe! Good luck and thanks for watching!

The color and texture of the rocks in ladder canyon remind me of Skyrim vanilla.

I have been to Ju;lian, De Anza Springs Park, Salton Sea on both sides of the sea. Lived in a little town of Westmorland and sampled the date shakes in Indio at Valerie Jeans. Date palms grow rapidly all over So Cal and into Az. A place to visit is Dateland, Az.

Those washboard dirt roads can be brutal. We took a few on our Moab trip and my teeth just about rattled out of my head!

They are awful! We did finally get an item to help us with it though that we will share in two videos!

What a fun trip on this video. You guys are so adventurous! I can't imagine climbing those ladders with those backpacks! Some of those rocks were so close I don't think I would be able to get my hips through there! lol The sculptures were amazing. Not a fan of the In and Out Burger. We got our first one in Yuba City, CA last May and I was so excited! Not sure what all the hype is about. Just a plain old burger to me! : (
@AdventuresofAplusK2 жыл бұрын
The backpacks made it tough at times, especially squeezing through tighter spots! We like super basic burgers, so maybe that is why we like it! It's definitely not the world's best burger, but for an affordable, quick burger we always enjoy it!

California is like a small country. So much to do. Closest we’ve been to Salton is seeing it from Keys View in Joshua Tree lol. Oh - eat apple pie with melted cheddar. Trust us. Or eat grilled cheese with apple pie jam. Trust us. 😉

We actually lived there for 3 years right before we moved into the van! We have some videos from there from when we first started our channel. We likely won’t be filming much when we make it there this time so we can enjoy it off camera.
