First look! Beneteau Antares 11 Fly Sea Trial

The day has finally come where we get to see our new boat for the first time. Our proposed new boat, a Beneteau Antares 11 flybridge gets delivered to Fort Myers Beach from Sarasota on the west coast of Florida. This brand new 2025 model freshly shipped overseas from Poland just a month or so prior sports 2 Mercury Verado 300hp engines with joystick steering. Come aboard as we take her for a shake down cruise and sea trial. If all goes well, will we buy her?

Man nice new boat. Congrats I'm sure you worked hard to get it guys. Your blessed for sure. I actually have a 1970s 80 foot Hat that was in very good shape owned by an older couple for it's entire life with a couple of Detroit diesels that have been maintained very well. Granted it took me a year to get everything in the shape I wanted to. Right now she's sitting dry docked up near Michigan city Indiana. Eventually it will be home for me and my wife and two boys. I've put all new electronics in her everything Garmin which was a hard decision. Had to redo the air conditioning. New nodes, had to rebuild one of the generators but now I have lithium batteries and solar panels so I'm hoping it can run mainly off of that. Slowly working through everything the hardest thing was redoing the teak and bright work that had faded over the years and trying to make sure everything on the fly bridge works correctly. Luckily the boat has spent most of its life in the great lakes and not so much in saltwater. It always amazes me how these new boats are designed and built. I will say I do almost wish that I had quad outboards but having a dedicated engine room is super nice. It's funny the first trip the 6days it took to get her from Virginia Beach back to chicago. Any time we were moving I was back and forth between the helm and engine room every 5 minutes just making sure nothing was going to happen like a fire or leak. Did have an oil line pop on one of the stabilizers but that was no big deal. All the alarms and such seem to work. She is one wave cutting unit that's for sure! If your ever able to take the grand loop or find yourself in the dunedin Tampa Bay area come summer. You happen to see a dark red and white old hat that's name on the back says "wet dream" flag us down and maybe we can get to hang out a bit!!!!. Much love from one captain to the next. And remember. Congratulations, great looking boat. You are going to love the engine configuration and joy stick, I have the same set up on my boat. The only thing you will need to have to get use too is the locking of the steering wheel once you go into joy stick mode. Takes a few practice sessions. But love love love the joy stick now. Congrats you guys!! Some really great innovations on this boat! The galley up gives some really nice cabin space for a boat this size. The joystick controls are awesome. I think this is a great fit for you. The outboards will allow you to get into some skinny water where the old Happy Ours couldn't go. The best part in my opinion is the 40 mph top end and still getting a mile per gallon. Almost double the speed of the Meridian and twice the cruising speed!! Really very nice!!

Congratulations!!!! My neighbor have the 2024 Sedan Bridge model. They had an issue with either the AC or the generator pick up while underway. The factory guys installed a scupper and solved the problem. Hope they solved that for the 2025 but run both underway and check it out. (Not like you wouldnt!!)
