As Bostonian I am always disappointed when travel sites only cover the freedom trail. Boston didn't die in 1775, there's a lot more history and a lot more to see so please do! By the way Nat you are so pretty. I hope you don't mind me saying that.

The Hop On Hop Off silver line trolley's are great. They follow the Freedom Trail (in case it's too hot and humid to walk), and the drivers give you a great non-stop history lesson about it. We go, stay on, learn everything, then hop off again later at the most interesting places.

I LOVE Boston, and you guys hit all of the best reasons why. This brought back memories of being here as a kid, and then coming back with my own family some years ago. I love the combination of lively city life, the parks, the history and, yeah, the Italian food and seafood. The only site of note I might have added in would be the monument to the 54th Massachusetts Regiment that is found near/at the State House. Maybe Fenway. But you were really thorough. Of course, there is the whole Cambridge/collegiate scene thing but that's another video.

Hey J Clark! Thanks so much for watching! For this trip we stayed at the Double Tree Downtown (bit.ly/3LpBXso) and it was nice enough. Nothing too special, but it was conveniently located. Lots of places are walkable and it's right next to a T (metro) station. It was the sweet spot of price to location for us. If the budget is a little higher, we would recommend staying at the Hilton Downtown/Faneuil Hall (bit.ly/3N8dUPZ) or in that area. Hope that helps!

So fun to watch your trip to Beantown. Matt’s Whoopie pie looks delicious but he needs to try one in Reading Market in Philly. That is my favorite. We loved the North End so much. My wife and I love to take walking tours and food walking tours when we are on vacation. Boston is a great town for history and food. The Freedom Trail was also a great time. It was easy for us to walk and extremely informative. I would say that Boston is right there with DC for the history but it out distances DC for the food, but not by much. Ion Ed to go back and catch up on your other videos.

Did you know that soft shell lobster is only sold in Maine and Massachusetts? It is because they cannot be shipped. They could die within 3 hours even if properly packed. Soft shell lobster has an extremely tender and sweet meat. You can even eat it plain, no roll, no butter which covers up bland and tough hard shelled lobster.

Sorry of this was already covered in a video...im trying to catch up lol...but how do you guys travel? Im in louisville so not too far from yall and flights are so expensive and buses take too long. P.s. so nice to see other youtubers who do budget travelling :)

It’s ok! We usually answer it in our Livestreams, so it’s hard to find. Lol 😂 so pretty much our whole life revolves around travel. I work for an airline part time & Matt is a musician/producer/songwriter so we both have flexible jobs. I get airline discounts & my sister works in the hotel industry, so we also get discounts there & I just started as a travel agent to help our goals to go full time with travel hopefully in the future. 🙏🏼 we have done a lot of road trips tho especially from Nashville, you can get to a lot of states from Ky. Hope that helps a little bit!

@@AdventuresofMattandNat wow we have a lot in common! My hubby works for an airline but the stand by flights havent been too good lately. My son and I got stuck in Chicago recently and had to take the bus back. Thankfully it wasnt on the other side of the states!! And I just had my 2nd interview today with a company trying to become a travel agent myself!! I'm having so much fun watching yall. Such good vibes! Maybe ill see yall in the air at some point :)

Next time you're at the Granary Burial Ground head across the street to the Legendary Beantown Pub where you can have a Cold Sam Adams (beer) while looking out the window at a Cold Sam Adams (in the ground)!

Great video! I lived in Boston for 6 years ending in 2010. If you are in the North End area at lunch, go to Umbertos for pizza and arincini. Get there early, the line can get long and they close when they run out. Very affordable, cash only when I was there. Hanover street, close to the pastry shops. We used to walk there from work for lunch from South Boston once a week or so.

This video is helpful. Thanks. My family will be flying into NY then drive to Boston and plan to stay for 3 days. But looks like we don’t need that many days in Boston. There will be 2 teenagers 17 and 19 . They are not at all into history like their parents. Any suggestions what can interest them other than the Freedom Trail?

Dear Matt and Nat, We appreciate you for your great effort to show us many beautiful places of historic Boston . We hope that in Part Ii of it in your second round for all 50 states you would show us many other things which have not been shown here. Though it's very lengthy we watched your video from beginning to end ( for the entire 20: 59 minutes ) without I interruption and liked it very much. Thank you very much for your Fàntastic video. I’m so late to comment on this but I just started watching your videos and I’m planning a trip to Yellowstone this summer so that’s how I found your channel! I had to comment on this one because Boston’s my home city and you guys made such a beautiful video for it! So glad you enjoyed the city! It’s a great place to be. Faneuil hall is pronounced fan-u-ul :) can’t go wrong with any restaurant in the north end! Check out Bova next time - 24 hour bakery! You should also definitely add the Fenway area to your list next time your here, and check out cape cod if you come in the summer. The museums and aquarium are fun too! :)

I've visited Boston before b/c my Mom's family is from that neck of the woods and my Dad was educated at Tufts U in Medford, MA. My fave part of the city is Boston Public Gardens with those Swan Boats. I also like the food, such as the famous "Chowda", aka New England Clam Chowder and Chinese food. The last time I visited the area was in April 2011, but I was doing a family reunion at a hotel in Saugus, MA, so I didn't get to see much of the city. I do remember visiting the city in early July '75 on a special ed group tour of New England and Eastern Canada between late June to early August '75.
