We went to IKEA last year, got totally lost following their arrows and no one around to ask about how the heck to get out of there. I have back issues and need a cart to lean on. There weren't any at all upstairs! I was hot and in so much pain when we finally found our way out. We swore we will NEVER go back there again! Your video was all too familiar to us!

A really nice video! A friend of mine, who has a bad leg and her husband, got a nice kitchen island there! However, they weren't happy with the set-up. I've never been. I usually try to order my furniture from the Amish. Such great craftsmanship and last forever! Worth the money. So nice as usual, to see Jess👋. Enjoy🙂!

Jess cracks me up, her face in the beginning, winking her pretty eyes is just adorable. We don't go to Ikea often, its too much walking for me. But I do like their selection of kitchen gadgets. My daughter got lots of stuff for her college apt. My son will be using some in his this year. She has the bruda containers, they held up well. Bath mats too.

Actually once when my daughter visited we went and bought a latex foam mattress and simple pine frame queen bed. I now sleep on it and it is so comfortable. Most furniture I bought there excel shelves did not hold up. My other daughter’s modular sofa she really liked and you could replace the covers or change color but I thought it was awful always sliding apart and needing repair. Also the furniture can be very heavy except the all wood. Once they had the problem with injury to children because of dressers tipping. I always pick up one side to see if something is ridiculously heavy. I do that everywhere even for used items.

Hi Danno and Jess! Best regards to Frank! 🙋‍♀️ Yaaay! Ikea! Love the place! You got Kallax! I've got 7 Kallax units! Super easy to put together! I use them in all my closets. Places like Target and Walmart have similiar units but not nearly as sturdy and no accessories like Kallax has. Furniture-wise it's hit-miss. Some of it is either very well made or plain junk/dorm worthy. Where Ikea does shine is in organization and linens. I have pot holders and dish towels bought in 1989 that are used daily and washed frequently that still look new! Same with bed and bath linens. I have bathrobes bought 20yrs ago that are still thick and fluffy.

I love to visit IKEA. I love looking through the rooms they have set up. They do have great kitchen items. I usually have lunch at their restaurant or snack bar and also pick up a few food items to take home.

I have a Nautical style headboard from Ikea in my guest room. It looks great. It’s a fun store to spend an afternoon. I like the Swedish meatballs, Lingonberry, &the gravy. My husband and I like the ensemble so much we brought some home . It’s delicious. We got the last 2 gravy packets from a display that an associate gave to us . He was so nice and helpful I wrote a good review about him which I rarely do . Great video.

I have several ikea items in my home. I like them. Good carts and storage solutions. For a bed, I recommend loom & leaf mattress. I got a box spring at Costco, and the loom & leaf has been my best bed yet.

I'm here in New Jersey. Decades ago, I bought a unit from IKEA that has 25 cubes for display/storage, along with 10 square, woven baskets that fit into the cubes. The unit measures about 72"x72"x15". Nice for displaying home decor pieces. But using the baskets for storage didn't work for me. I wanted to store small items, like office and other supplies. But whenever I needed something, I had to rummage through a basket to find what I was looking because they're so deep. I switched over to using Sterilite plastic storage containers of various sizes and keep them on storage racks. The racks aren't aesthetically pleasing, but they get the job done.

Those hangers are a lot nicer than my plastic hangers. I would’ve purchased them immediately, but I don’t go shopping for anything ever, except farm fresh food. I’ve never been into an IKEA . There’s nothing wrong with my plastic hangers really.

Thank you so much for taking us to IKEA. They have been around here forever but there was nothing that I needed. This store is humongous and you certainly got your cardio workout today. If you are looking for extra space some day rent a small storage locker near you and you can put in it what you are not using. This will give you peace of mind..more space..and etc.etc. Beds..well they are out there alright. I notice in USA they have MDG which will deliver you a bed in a couple of days..no money down and you pay monthly. Heard good things about this company who carry everything.

Great video. That spinning wheel thingy would be good to put household chores on and let the kids spin it to see which chore they have to do. I've always wanted to go to an IKEA but I've never been near one. Now most of my house is almost completely furnished so it would probably be a moot point for me. I'd love their office/craft furniture though. Regardless, I enjoyed the trip. Most furniture like that is self assembly. Even from Amazon or big box stores. Even I can do it. Usually.

Hey Danno & Jess, don't stress out about finding some new furniture, the right stuff will arrive at the right time. I wanted a change and just kept watching what people wanted or needed to sell and then one day I saw an add for a almost new leather couch for $40 it wasn't a recliner but it was perfect for my room just cost me $40 for the uhaul and $40 for the couch.. that was 6 years ago and I still love the couch.

Ikea's fun, and yes follow the arrows 😅 Took my elderly father a few years back for storage cabinets & blinds. We did really well with prices. I felt the same about the sofas, eh, but we love the storage options & containers to keep everything tidy. The lighting area & showroom is quite the experience!

Consignment stores and thrift shops for good quality wood furniture. I would rather have a pre-used piece of wood furniture than compressed sawdust furniture which cheap furniture is made from. Furniture consignments stores are wonderful especially in real nice areas of town. IKEA has good kitchens for those on a budget.

Hello Danno & Jess , thankyou for taking me through a US Ikea , Here in the UK you can get delivery , I ordered two wardrobes , providing you give clear instructions when ordering , they are great . Obviously flat pack , but no way could I have managed to carry them up 3 flights of stairs . Maybe it's a female thing , but I always , always check the part's list before reading the instructions . I hope Jess has fun organising .

I think it’s hit and miss with IKEA. They do sell some great pieces but some of it is crap: the couches are iffy. There’s so many little organizing pieces that are just awesome. My daughter got her duvet and sheets there. I also get my lint roller refills there. Oh, eating there is a nice little treat. We get the chicken tenders and I do enjoy the honey mustard and bbq sauce they provide.

My husband said that their furniture is low quality. It’s photo finished particle board. My daughter-in-law was using her computer desk as a dresser. It broke and my son wanted to buy her a dresser at IKEA. My husband said that it’s low quality. He ended up building her a beautiful 7 drawer dresser. Then he built all 4 grandchildren their own dresser beautiful.

I love solid wood furniture, and we have plenty of it, but my bedroom is from IKEA. It's 14 years old and still looks brand new. It's certainly not something we plan to hand down to our son or anything, but it's not nearly as expensive. We do have several prices that are solid wood that we bought second hand and some new, but I have enjoyed the quality of our IKEA pieces. My office desk is also from IKEA and going strong for seven years

IKEA does have some junk furniture, but they also have wonderful quality builds that are solid wood. I have a table in my kitchen from IKEA that is solid wood. We have had it for 25 years and it’s still going strong.

IKEA furniture: Absolutely look at the quality and its likely longetivity. They are excellent with their arrangements/ vignettes, color pallets, and lighting; reminiscent of old school, down town window displays. When or if you see a display, look at all the tags and all the signs to discover all thenpi3ces and hence the full cost of what you are seeing. Often IKEA "gives you options" as they say and in doing so you can chose to buy or not buy the assorted modules or sections inckuding things like drawer and cupboard handles, bed slats in a bed set, etc... The costs can add up quickly. Likewise, often the less expensive furniture is generally less stalwart.

Great Video Guys. I dont have a lot of good to say about IKEA products or modern furniture in general but as you were trying the drawers it hit me that what Jess is looking for is a Tool Chest, an auto Shop Tool Chest (you know what i mean Danno) with the great sliding drawers and large open compartments on wheels and lockable. I know it isn't practical for your place now but for the future. Should have got the Salmon, i was wanting a review of it, not everywhere can cook a good Salmon and i was curious.

Danno You would never make it here my friend, it's a hundred degrees here in Florida. We're shopping in IKEA thought I was going to drop. Got lost didn't know where I was and could not get any connection out on my phone to call my friend and I just kept walking around. When I saw your video I just started laughing. I would just sit down on a couch take a break and get up and walk some more. I didn't think I was ever going to make it to that food court. It is absolutely insane. And there's no employees around to help you out on the floor if you have any questions. I'm very confused about that as it's the weekend here. It's Sunday. I like to take some willy-nilly, buy great deal money with me. One time I actually put back a lot of what i was buying because they had a great deal on CFL (it was a while ago) light bulbs that used less wattage than what was readily available else where to boot. Most times they have things like the wood hangers and plastic food storage containers at a good price.
