Made it to Pennsylvania!
My name is Brian. I live on the road full time in my self built camper van. Join me on my adventures.
*In this video I leave my camp at Silver Springs Campground in Sow, Ohio. I head into Pennsylvania where I spend a night at a truck stop in Brooksville, PA. I get up in the morning and head towards Red Rock, PA. I meet up with the owner of Red Rock Mountain Campground. Guy is a viewer of my videos and reached out to me and offered for me to stay for a few days. We went out exploring near Rickets Glen State Park. It is a beautiful area! Then we head back to camp and cook up some burgers over a campfire.
Thank you Guy for your hospitality!
Thanks for watching!

Thank goodness I ate before watching your video. Sadly, your breakfast beat out my shredded wheat with fresh strawberries, rats. You definitely know how to eat well on the road. I just returned from an 1800 mile, 10 day trip in my new truck camper. I avoided all major highways and took my sweet time. It was wonderful.

I grew up hiking the hills in PA and right now am slowly working my way north for a Memorial day camping trip. Watching, I was reminded why we changed the date for our annual fishing trip back from opening of Trout season to Memorial day: sun and warmth. Plus it's amazing how green things get over the next few weeks up there...

Brian, Great to have you in the area. We've hiked the Falls Trail of Rickets Glen many times. For anyone else who would like to visit there is parking down on Rt 118. Lake Jean is at the top of the trail with a beach swimming area. They have a concession stand if you're hungry. Note: This is a lot of walking, especially if you're hiking back down. But if you're young & strong it wouldn't be a problem.

YES ! That is very true. There are pull overs at the top for big trucks. Even though I'm familiar with the road & only driving a mini van, I always pull over and get as slow of a start as possible going down that hill - then keep it slow - don't let speed build too much. Like Brian said, please take it seriously.

Just missed you at Silver Springs campground. I was there the night of Friday, May 4. I found this campground last October when I stayed there to attend a concert in nearby Kent, OH. Stayed there again when I went to another concert in Kent this past weekend. It only cost $12 last year. Ken, the campground manager was almost apologetic when he told me they had raised the price to $15 this year. :) You're right, it's a nice spot to stay for visiting and hiking at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. And the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland is not far either.

I live about 15 mins from that area and over the yrs some friends and I rode our horses thru there. You should travel back thru there in about 6 wks when it is all green and trees filled with leaves. It is very hard to move and leave these mts. and valleys. Pa is a beautiful state, four seasons you know. A winked free shower, a free campground invite, typical Pa citizens, Native born Pa folks. Very difficult to resettle elsewhere.

I live in Virginia. I can't remember when I first started watching the channel. It's incredible for me to see the Vast incomparable difference there is from the west coast vibe....weather...climate...geography.....lifestyle of the people....housing styles and priorities there... I could go on and on. I love my Virginia, but need to move to a Slower paced, cheaper to live, higher quality lifestyle type of place. Your spoons represent a place where individuals effort and independence was the priority over time, constant movement, and production of things, just for the sake of things. Travel on. Travel lite. Travel well. Keep your heading always for the horizon

Pamala Peterson don’t know where you live but when you can visit PA, see my above msg. Ohio is prettiest in the southern part, a lot of the north is flat and basically farm land, though seeing Lake Erie is nice. Columbus is a great town and so is Cincinnati. In Chillicothe they have an outdoor play with horses etc. about Tucumse, an Indian chief. All of PA is wonderful, Pittsburgh Philadelphia. Lots of history, the Appalachian trail goes through PA.
