Brian, just keep doing what you're doing. For every negative comment just know there are hundreds of people like me who have never posted a comment that are truly inspired by your journey! I love your content and your easy delivery. I've only been along for the past few months but you're one of my favorite "you-tubers" and I love seeing a new Adventure Van Man video pop up! Would love to meet you someday. If you're ever in the Carolinas look me up!

Your Kind, positive spirit is one of the reasons I keep coming back to watch your videos. I specifically remember one of your early videos you were in a park showing us how you cook, it was a beautiful, sunny day. You were so happy and free.. and I thought "yes, I want to live like that." And now I'm doing it. You were a big part of my decision. I understand about the negativity and respect whatever decision. Just know you've been a great inspiration!

Brian, I know it's difficult to ignore the bad comments and I too am sensitive when it comes to negativity. You are one of four that convinced me eight months ago to sell all my things and I moved into a 24 ft RV. The van was my first choice but my wife didn't like the idea. I i'm more happy than I ever have been before. Sharing your life on the road I think makes you a little bit more happy inside as well. Maybe it's a sense of not being alone that you get to share your life with others. I encourage you to keep doing what you're doing I look forward to everyone of your videos. Hell, i'm even eating more healthier because I've watched you cook. Keep on living your dream brother! We got your back here.

Brain don't pay any attention to the trolls on KZbin you have help so many people including me and my wife. We are full times now and life is getting better every day. you teach the basic so we don't struggle and inspire with a philosophy that saids there is a way to thrive in happiness. Society's model doesn't work it keeps us slaves. You have shown us the way out. Before we where working 70 to 80 hours a week and still broke. Now we barely work 40 we spend so much more time together and have so much more money. I found your channel by accident on break at work. You may never know how many people you have helped but know you are helping make the world a better place. Thank you

Hey Brian, I'm a recovering alcoholic and addict. What you are doing for yourself by sharing some of who you are is really awesome! Yes, it will help others - a lot. It will help you at least as much, or more. For me, sharing the dark parts of my journey has been one of the biggest tools in my recovery toolbox. I'm not suggesting that you share every single detail on your channel, but it seems that you are aware of the boundaries that are prudent. You are a gentle and kind spirit, Brian. That is obvious in your videos. I don't subscribe to very many channels because some get negative or judgmental. Making a sandwich is a soul regenerating experience with you, my friend :) I'm so glad you've decided to continue with your channel. Don't be afraid to take a break when you need to. Thanks for being who you are!

@visualtraveler52637 жыл бұрын
The times that I've scrolled down to look at comments I've never even seen any negative comments. I learned something years ago in an alcohol rehab facility about having people against me for any reason,.. and that was that instead of defending myself to someone in an attack on me with their words and attitudes, I was taught that the problem existed with them, and not me. The ones that may attack me, are the ones with a problem. As long as I went about my business and never said or did anything out of the way, then my life should be peaceful. And so that's the way I look at it now, my life is peaceful, and if anyone has a problem with me, then that's their problem, not mine. That's the way you have to do Brian, and it takes some real talking to yourself to get that attitude to stick with you, but after a while it begins to come natural. So, if anyone has a problem with me that I know is totally unfair and uncalled for, I may give a defense of my innocents, but when I do that, it's done all the while knowing that that person has a real problem,.. and one that he/she can't see, for being blinded by something or someone, and the problem is theirs, not mine. I personally don't see how anyone could have a problem with you. You are always helpful in the things that you're into, and I can't see anyone that has their heads screwed on right to have any problems with you. So the one or ones that do has some deep seated problems, of usually being very immature. I'm very glad that you stayed on with your channel, and I wish you the very best. You have totally encouraged me to join the van life lifestyle, and I'm very thankful for you for that. Please just train yourself to overlook anyone that says hateful things, and tell yourself that some people have some real problems in life, problems with growing up. Have much fun and may you have much inner peace Brian. Peace. ✌ :-)

Delete negative bloggers as fast as you can. In every demographic there is a percentage of negative people. I have said some people will complain because the drive to pick up a lottery jackpot is to far. That is all on them. It is very helpful to see a real life account of this life style and also the information on places to explore. Some of us have young children and are making notes for vacations and for our retirement. You are helping. Also some need help to know there is a different way to live, that may fit them and you provide this. Thank you for your time and for sharing.

Brian, this is my first time commenting on youtube. I was moved to comment after seeing this video. I've watched all of your uploads and feel that you are the best at stepping folks through beginning, and living, the vanlife . I feel that I can totally relate to where you were, when you chose to start living the vanlife, as I'm basically there now. By including the life experience stuff that you do it adds a whole other dimension to your channel that can be a bit lacking on some of the others. I feel that this aspect is of critical importance as it speaks to the "why" of living this lifestyle. I could go on for hours regarding this topic, but what I mostly want to say is: "Please press on on with uploading interesting and varied topics that you come across in your vanlife experience. I'm as big fan of your channel and it has helped me immensely. Thank you for you honesty, bravery, and insights." - Cheers!

I'm so glad you are taking the high road. You will become a much wiser person in the long run. We don't develop without struggle. As far as those negative individuals, I think you touched on it, despite it appearing to be directed toward you, it's really not personal. It's their negativity projected onto you. You're too smart to truly let that get to you. Your ego is stepping in and making you vulnerable. Like you said, step it up. Great talk today!! Thanks so much for all you do for this community, and me!! You are one of my favorite more enlightened role models. Lauri

I just rewatched this. Ive been here for most of your journey, almost 7 years now. You are one of the few I still try to keep up with. Mostly, because you are smart, kind and wise. I am 73 and started this wandering life in late 2016. I stopped the wandering part but have landed on a homestead in south Alabama in my trailer. I had a motorhome, which a tree cut in half and I bought this trailer but don't have a big truck. I am happy tho. I have chickens, dogs and wonderful friends who convince me I am a help to them. I'm telling you this bec I understand what you were saying about negativity and I've watched you ignore it and stay strongly true to yourself. I wish you remaining days be as rewarding as you deserve. God blesses you.

You, are absolutely my largest inspiration to becoming a van dweller. I am also an adventurous outdoor guy, sharing some of the exact same love of nature, cycling, hiking, and more. I have learned so much from you about van dwelling, the way I have set my plans to do it. I now have my van and am a full time dweller. I have a few more repairs to do and then I get to hit longer roads and see more stuff! Seriously, no joke, no sales pitch... I am free Long Beach, California and got tired of all of the same things you did and said “that’s it, I’m over all of this insanity and battles, I’m getting rid of almost everything but my hiking gear, backpacking gear, my bike and a few hippie things and going to buy a vehicle and boondock all over the country full time!” Then, after seeing Jed and Bob, I stumbled across your channel. You are doing exactly what I decided to do before I even knew van dwelling and being s nomad was a thing. I really enjoy all of Jed and Bob’s videos, and watch van dwelling type stuff every night on KZbin. Want to guess who I always start with and never miss a video of? You! As a person who is definitely an adventure guy, a nature guy, and also sensitive person, and now full time van dweller, I really want to cross paths with you one day, eat your damn yummy tacos, share my damn yummy tiki masala, sip coffee in our pour overs van style, and tell you in person you have been my absolute biggest inspiration for my new chapter in life! Forget the negative people with ego driven delusions of self grandeur, you are a blessing to many of us who you have never met, and do not stalk KZbin for people to cyber bully because they are p.o.’d that you are “following your dreams” and no longer connected to the crappy ball and chain of sticks and bricks coupled with constantly being surrounded by hostile people who can’t seem to get enough of themselves. We both washed our hands of California society for those reasons and set out to find people who actually say “good morning” back at us instead of “what do you want”? Dude....... keep doing what you are doing! You are making a difference and changing lives for the better in so many ways!

Brian, last year I found myself unemployed, in transition, worried and hopeless with 2 animals relying on me. I had time to think about how I want to spend my time, my life, what is important, how to find peace and joy...I can't remember how I found your channel Bob Wells book had something to do with it...but it was you, your channel and your lifestyle that hit me with a flash of awakening. I'd always dreamed of living free, roaming, traveling and experiencing new places but forgot and quit traveling at 31, got caught in the briar patch as well allowing seclusion to be the answer to the negative nature of people around me ...you helped me, you inspired me to seek out the joy and share in that joy, spread joy, BE! I am still working towards the "van/camper/rv" life but the goal is set, the research and savings have begun and it is soon to happen...YOU sir were a very important catalyst in rekindling this spirit of adventure for me...you are a dear friend, a kindred spirit, a soul brother I hope to have the pleasure of meeting and shaking your hand...thank you.

If basically the worst part of your life is stupid comments, then that ain't too bad! Look at your life! You get to travel, camp, enjoy more places than most people on the planet. I think a lot of hate comes from jealousy and the rest from being public. I know how comments hurt...we all take them pretty much the same way. But, hopefully, you can ride above them and accept the good people's comments also. There are a whole lot more of them out there! Hang in there, Brian. You are loved! :)

You are definitely an inspiration, not only for traveling and living your dream but as an example of how to be a good, decent person and how to take the flow of ups and downs in life with humility and grace and hope. That quality, unfortunately, can be lacking in our society these days. So just keep being yourself, no one is perfect obviously but I think you are a step ahead of many. Without experiencing the bad it is hard to know what's good. I hope that when you encounter negativity that it will only strengthen your compass and make you more confident and grateful for the abundance of life that you have created for yourself and the gifts you give your fans. Peace.

Brian, as you know, you are one of our favorite channels and you have and continue to inspire us to follow our dreams! We too have gotten frustrated with all the negativity on KZbin. We are learning right along with you on how to deal with it. Haters will be haters no matter what the situation is so keep on doing what you are doing. We love traveling along with you and experiencing your adventures through KZbin. Know that when we had the opportunity to meet you in person it was a major highlight of our adventure. You are such a kind, down to earth person with a great attitude! Thanks for sharing with us.

I'm so glad you've decided to keep doing You Tube videos! You give this 50+ year old woman hope that in my near future I too will be van dwelling! May I suggest that before you read your comments that you spend time meditating in order to remind yourself to stay focused only on the good comments & release the negative. I adore you & the peacefulness you give in your videos. Take care.

What helped me with dealing with negativity is realizing that people are that way because of their own issues and problems. They don't see a way out of their own miserable situation, so they want to bring others along with them. It really has nothing to do with us. "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." Luke 6:45 You are a good man, with good in his heart. Their comments have no bearing on your life. I love your channel. Keep at it, we have your back.

It's a shame there are so many negative people, because you are doing a really good thing with your videos giving people hope. I have been sick for 4 years, and have not wanted to live for that long. Unfortunately, i am too sick to make the transition into van life, but watching your videos helps pass the time for me. Thank you.

Love your videos, always a highlight to my day when I see you've posted a new one. Don't worry about the negative comments, that's going to happen no matter what. My dad told me this when I was young, and it has stuck with me my whole life. "Opinions are like @$$holes, everybody has one, and they all stink"! When I am confronted with negativity, I remember what my old man said and go on. Just keep doing your thing, your way. You're doing something right, otherwise you wouldn't have the following or support you have. Take care!

Brian, your videos are informative, creative, interesting and fun. As a "Boondocker in waiting" I watch a lot of other you tuber videos on rv/van living as I'm deciding what's best vehicle for my future nomad life. And I tell you I like your positive and upbeat style, and favor you over all the others! I appreciate your creative cooking and van life tips! Thank you for sharing. You are my inspiration!

"Primitive man had to fight everyday not to be hungry. Modern man has to fight everyday to be hungry." Forgot where I heard that quote but it's your travels and positive attitude I see in the latter. Anyway stay positive, stay hungry and we'll be there every step of the way.
