I am so happy to hear that you find the videos helpful. Your comment was written in good English, except for the last sentence. It should be: I would appreciate it if you would (could) point out any mistakes. 😊

Amazing ❤💯💯 but I have a question. Is the adverb clause the same as the subordinate clause?😊
@WritingBetter6 ай бұрын
Yes, it is. An adverb clause is a type of subordinate clause( a dependent clause which needs to be connected to an independent clause).

Can i use the word BEING in adverbs clause. example: "Because she was sick,she had to go to the hospital", with, "Being sick, she had to go to hospital". am i correct?
@WritingBetter8 ай бұрын
Yes, you can write the sentence in that way. Because he had been sleeping, he did not hear the doorbell. Being asleep, he did not hear the doorbell.

The sentence: They needed to find the parking lot where they had parked the car. Why is it an adverb clause instead of an adjective clause? Isn’t the clause describing the noun phrase “the parking lot”?
@WritingBetter10 ай бұрын
It might have been a clearer example if I had written: They needed to find where they had parked the car. Here is another similar example: You can find flour where the other baking ingredients are located. or My son told me another fight broke out where he eats lunch at school. Grammarly.com states: Adverbial clauses of place describe where the action in a sentence’s main clause takes place. English grammar can be complicated! I hope this helps.

@@WritingBetterThank you so much. It’s really clear if the sentence is: They need to find where whey had parked the car. 😂🎉
