Adverbs of Frequency:
Sohan plays tennis.
Sohan always plays tennis.
‘always’ is an adverb of frequency
It describes the frequency of an action.
Adverbs of frequency (sometimes called frequency adverbs) tell us how often something happens or is the case; they can describe verbs and adjectives, but they do not modify other adverbs.
Adverbs of frequency can be categorized into two classes:

Adverbs of indefinite frequency:
Adverbs of definite frequency:
Adverbs of definite frequency describes the exact frequency of an action.
How to form “adverbs of definite frequency”?
number + times + a + period of time
Sohan plays cricket ten times a month.
I go to school five times a week.
Remember!
If the number of time is ‘one’, we say ‘once’
If the number of time is ‘two’, we say ‘twice’
If the number of time is ‘three’, we say ‘thrice’
Examples:
I wash my car once a week.
I go to Mumbai twice a month.

Note; the period of time is always in ‘singular’ form.
I go to school every day.
They go to the movie every weekend.

Adverbs of definite frequency modify verbs and generally appear at the beginning or end of the sentence.
The “-ly” adverbs come only at the end, though.
If appearing at the beginning of a sentence, they are usually offset by a comma.
Example:
I run eight miles daily.
Every year, our office holds a big raffle for charity.
He makes a point of going to his local bar once a week.
“Hourly, you need to update me on your progress. (incorrect)
Note that most of the “-ly” adverbs above can also function as adjectives, as in “yearly meetings,” “monthly report,” “hourly updates,” etc.

Indefinite Frequency
Adverb of indefinite frequency gives a general (not specific) indication of frequency.
Range of frequency
Frequency adverbs can range in frequency from 100% of the time (always) to 0% of the time (never). The following table gives some examples of different adverbs expressing the full range of frequency:
