My best advice I can give to other beginners is to focus on one thing to get better at during each run. Don’t get overwhelmed and take it one race at a time!
In this video, I was pleased with the lines I was running!

It's been a while since I raced but, that track looks like you could run some more toe out on the left front to get to turned and keep it straight coming off the apex.

Hey I see that you race a dega I believe. I live here in Bessemer. My family has raced in someway my whole life. Up until 10 years ago. I plan on getting into it. Starting hotshot. But I’m here for info on starting my 9 yr old in the karts. Schedule, classes, where to find rules? If possible. Subscribed!!!

Good line and kart seems to like the setup. Gear change is in order though

My thing back when I was racing was this. Rubbing is racing yes of course but beating and banging and using a kart on the outside as a bank to pass and stay on the track when handling isn't working is not. I like it good and clean if possible. Sure your going to hit or get hit. But what is important is finding a line and a secondary because like restarts and traffic you will not always be able to hold that line. I use to hate when I had a really fast line my grove I called it. Sometimes in an intire race the diffrent lines slower and faster karts take would close me off from where I wanted to be and had to just follow along with the chaos. I use to hate that not knowing of o could have stretched out and got the room could I have went to the front. That always did bother me and I know many others got frustrated as I did. Some times its just the luck of the draw and sometimes that baby just wants to run and hook up and the world is good.

Good job but when your on the starts just lock it up or floor it but only behind 1and 2 so that you can push someone to a higher rpm that way you can pass him really easy good luck

What cart catagory would you recommend for a adult who is a beginner on dirt cart racing. Been driving regular go carts since was a kid just never raced at tracks. As an adult I want to get started but don't want to bite off more than I can chew at my current novice level.
@mymaclife4288
@mymaclife4288 2 жыл бұрын
I suggest a no tire prep class if you find a track that does it. That way it takes away that whole part of it and gives you time to learn.

@@mymaclife4288 ok thanks I'll have to check around and see who has that as that's not one that I have seen from where I live. Someone mentioned doing clone light #330 for a beginner. What's your opinion on that as someone who is experienced in the sport.

Need a little more gear. High in low out, don't lift unit the first cone in the corner. Then on the gas at the middle of the corner you are pretty smooth which is fast you will get it. My kids raced karts for years.
