As an Appalachian I'm so happy you guys are interested in Appalachia! Tori you're saying it right, it's pronounced Apple-at-cha. A good book rec that I loved that centers around Appalachia is Demon Copperhead. It's so good and I think you all would like it!! Absolutely loving the pod so far btw!

Appalachia also extends to Pennsylvania! I’m from western PA and it’s veryyyy much part of the culture here
