Also to back Brit on her answer about popularity, in my own experience, those who purposely continued to TRY to be popular into college were usually the least liked people among their classmates in college. Being yourself and having a good time (not necessarily heavy partying, but finding what brightens your authentic self) will attract the people you want to have in your life. Trying to be a certain way will bring on people you probably don’t want around, so don’t worry about being popular.

social anxiety gang! i get really bad attacks and end up not going to places or events i’m invited to which leads me to isolate myself and worsens my anxiety….how lovely!

I also have a lot of social anxiety, it's super nerve wracking because I'm about to move into my dorm for my freshman year. It's really stressful looking forward into the unknown. I moved three times during public school, so resetting my friend group just activates a lot of memories of being lonely or kind of an outsider. I'm also really excited to just have a fresh start and step outside my comfort zone, and I want to find my place and find my people so hopefully I can reach that point in college.

I’m in grad school now and idk what’s wrong with me. I feel like I’ve reached the stage where nothing really interests me? So learning isn’t fun and I’m just memorizing as much as I can before exams. I guess homework is what’s saving me. I miss undergrad me. I enjoyed it then. Maybe it’s because grad school doesn’t feel like college but work

I relate to ur social anxiety experience a lot. I am glad u shared it. I have a question for a future Q and A, how do u maintain an active social life. I’m in college and don’t have that many friends but sometimes it feels like everyone is so flaky, but I know that’s not the case it’s just that everyone has so much going on including myself. I don’t know if you feel that way. On a separate note, has anyone told you that you look so much like Phoebe Tonkins?

i also regret worrying about money all throughout college and not really getting the college experience/not studying abroad :( since i commuted all 4 years and was focused on my grades and work study…
