I lived at home the first year and I regret it so much because everyone in my lectures all lived either in the same house or close by, so they all became closer because when I went home they all went to live together. I decided to live out in my 2nd year which helped me become really independent but I quickly realised that the "Uni Life" is based on getting drunk and taking drugs and since I don't drink or do drugs I didn't enjoy it. Literally every event was based on alcohol and no one in my house ever wanted to go to the events that didn't include alcohol. Right now, I'm actually contemplating wether to stay home or leave again. It was good leaving 5 minutes before a lecture and getting there on time compared to having to get up 1 hour before when I stayed home.

im looking to commute for uni in sept from south london CJ to surrey, its about half an hour and im just worried about social life and stuff
@AnpuLondon8 жыл бұрын
Hey! I think the half an hour sounds okay. Lots of people at my university live about half an hour away in the neighbouring towns. I don't think you should be worried, especially because CJ has really good transport connections!

Hi I’m think about moving out of uni accommodation after my first semester too, I wondering whether you had to pay for the accommodation for the full year or not?

Hi I'm thinking about travelling to Manchester from Liverpool for uni next year which is about 40/50 mins each way. Would you recommend this or are halls better? Thankfully I don't live in London so the journey is really fast and there aren't that many distractions

@@sophiac8824 The train from Leicester to London is acc so expensive lol isn't it like £30/£40 w/ a railcard, the train to sheffield is £25 max for a anytime return
@sophiac88245 жыл бұрын
@@DJSaM2K10 Actually ha ha I've found a few hacks for this like using a cheap ticketing site or Megabus (train) booked in advance or a season ticket loan scheme. Getting the train has never cost more than £25 booked on the day and if I'm organized it'll be a lot less, but glad to know others like yourself do it too 😉👍
