Honestly, you and Zoe have the cutest friendship on KZbin. I love how silly you two can be when you're together. But I also love when you guys can be serious and have meaningful chats together. The chemistry you have as close friends is one that reminds me of me and my best friend. Me and her have known each other since October of 2016, and I think of me and her's friendship when I see you two in a video together. Stay awesome, and never change! -Hannah♥ P.S I'm a big fan of both of you👍

For cutting out your toxic friends: FORGIVE but don't forget. it sounds so cheesy, but I've only just realised what it actually meant. I've had a really bad friend but we still had to be in the same class for the next two years, and after we had a huge fight we barely spoke for about two months. the bitterness was literally eating me up from the inside. So therefor I chose to forgive, and it made me feel a lot better. In that way you can still speak, but it doesn't mean that you have to hang out a lot afterwards. So please learn to forgive people or you'll end up very alone with your angry thoughts. With that being said it is equally important to not forget what they did to you, so you can maybe take your precautions when speaking to them and not give them the power to control or manipulate (or whatever bad thing they were doing) you again.

Over the past few years I've walked away from alot of toxic friendships in my life and I didn't realise how bad they were until after I cut the cord with them. They didn't respect or support me but I stayed longer that I should have out of loyalty because I had known them for 10 years. (I'm 30 btw) But no matter how long you've known someone. You should never be disrespected or made to feel like crap. There's no excuse for it.I came to the conclusion that I'd rather be on my own than surrounded by awful people. Being on my own has taught me healthy boundaries, re affirming self worth and it's allowed me to gain the courage to start my own KZbin channel and now I have room in my life for people that are on my wavelength. There's a silver lining amongst every cloud:) great listening to both of your advice. It was very helpful 😊

Does anyone else get this? .... I find some people take your power away. They're intimidating and manipulative and arrogant and when you're around them you feel small all the time. You don't realise it at first but after a while you find your self esteem is at an all time low and you haven't been yourself in a long time. I meet a lot of people like that in my life and luckily enough I've cut most of them out but does that happen with anyone else or am I just very sensitive and I'm letting others take away my power?

I feel that if you are in a committed relationship or even a friendship, taking care of yourself is #1 priority, because seeing so many relationships in which one person is just giving the other so much of themselves and changing themselves to make another person happy is not healthy at ALL. People tend to give and give and give and when the connection begins to fizzle, they’re left with no self love or self admiration and thats what hurts most. Know the difference between the connection you have with someone that should be going both ways, versus one person bending over backwards to make their friend or partner happy and not receiving the same respect and love back to them, that’s something I believe people confuse with just “a problem they need to work on” rather than “this relationship doesn’t work”

I'm friends with two of my ex's, but we only started to talk again when we had both moved on. One, I broke up with him, another he broke up with me but I can still talk to them both now as we have both grown and spoke about everything and laid boundaries to certain things. But I guess, like Mark and Zoë said, it depends how the relationship ended and how mature you are. The outcome depends on you, and you alone. Same as every aspect in a relationship and when you break up, if you ever do.

In regards to the question about a toxic friendship, I’d say get out as quick as possible. I was in a toxic (platonic) relationship, where my friend was so emotionally abusive (and sometimes i wonder if she even knew she was that way) and she was a compulsive liar.. and honestly it’s not safe for your mental health being around that much negativity. Loads of times in toxic relationships/friendships, the other party cuts you off from your other friends, in cases like that- where you feel so cut off that you think you can’t speak to your other friends because it’s been too long or something like that. Just ignore that feeling and reach out to them, start hanging out with other friends more and more, and less with the toxic one. Personally i think a clean break from them is the best way to go (unfollow them on instagram ect) but if that isn’t possible, just distance yourself as much as possible. Like zoe said, you are the most important person in your life, treat yourself as such 💛

Here's some advice that don't tell you about in your 20's. You really should be saving or contributing to your future. Whether it be 401ks or your own retirement fund. If you do it now it won't be bad later. Also you won't get screwed realizing that you might not be able to financially sustain yourself in your older age. Also create an emergency fund with all your bills being able to be paid for 3 months minimum but up to a year is ideal. You never, NEVER know what tomorrow may bring. Be prepared

Anyone who is afraid to come out... Try not let the fear of the unknown stop you!!! Who you are is who you are and unfortunately if anyone in your life negativity rejects you because of it.. then I honestly don't know why you would want those people in your life. They don't deserve to be in your life if that's the case actually. You matter. You are valid. You should be able to be comfortable with your identity. You are so amazing and I believe in you and believe that you will get there. You will have some rough roads along the way but boy when those roads smooth out, it's incredible! You are incredible! Let go of the fear. It is what it is. You can't change it so embrace it. 😘😚☺

For me personally I think people are in your life either as a blessing or a lesson. As far as fitting in is concerned you can tell who actually loves you by who you can open upto and be yourself infront of you weren't born to care about what others think about you live your life how you want the right people will love you. For the person that said 'I'm gay and don't know how to tell my friends' if they're your real friends they will love and support you no matter what and will always be happy for you, if they're not well it shows just how much they value your friendship

to anyone struggling to come out: first try to gently find out what their overall view is, if it’s an orientation they may not have heard of then maybe try to bring it up in conversation before just so you don’t get bombarded with a million questions haha, best of luck xx

If you have to try to fit in, you don't fit in. You fit where you fit, and if you have to try then that's not the right place for you. You won't complete a puzzle by changing the shape of a puzzle piece so it'll fit. It's got it's own place where it fits perfectly

That question with the fitting in really got me thinking. I'm am in my first year of college and I feel like I wasn't really myself in high school. I was always told to fit in and not really stand out because there is trouble that comes with that, so naturally, I stayed under the radar. I did have a couple of friends who I was with for the year then we never spoke (season, reason, lifetime thing) because I felt like they were friends with the fake me. going into my second semester of college I am definitely going to keep this conversation that yall had in mind. Thank you for opening my eyes and covering this topic in your video! lots of love

I think for the being friends with an ex q, you should only give as much as you get in regards to effort put into the new friendship. If they aren't putting any effort in to be friends and hang out or message then you shouldn't either. I think just walking away from toxic people is the best you can do. Tether all communications and leave them behind you. That said I'd only advice this solution if they're not willing to talk to you about the situation face to face. If they say "YOU have done something majorly wrong to ME" and they suggest taking a break from YOU without even trying to clean the slate even once and cowardly disappear behind their phones - THEN give them their Space - FOR EVER.
