Mark Hallett, MD, from the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, comments on the most pressing clinical needs for functional neurological disorder (FND). Dr Hallett highlights the importance of early identification of FND by clinicians, noting that inadequate education delays diagnosis and referrals. The FND Society aims to address this issue by prioritizing education. Dr Hallett also underscores the need for more therapeutic strategies.
