quick reminder, my one broke in 2 months, right after calibration. worked for couple of times and then started glitching completely showing -2 / 5 / -1 / 2.5. Was disasembled with hammer and thrown away.

This is the best pH tester of the handheld. Don't buy BlueLab they are not good calibration. I have most testers you can buy in my lab. I always go back to the trusty Adwa on both ppm and pH meters. Hat off for Adwa for providing a great product to a great price. I also have the feeling BL is in it for the money, not quality. I recommend buying 2x Adwa next time to double check the pH.

I bought AD 11 for 1 year ago, Did use it for a while, how long the shelf life of the buffer? Do I need to bye new Buffer, if where can I do this in Spain?

Dear Joaquin, Buffer solutions has to have an expiry date somewhere in its package. In case it is unopened and have held under the right conditions, it will keep its expiry date until that date. Dear Piotr Wojdelko, In case the pH is about 3-4, we recommend you to calibrate the meter with 4.01 pH buffer solution.

Hello, In the instructions I read "Measurements should be taken when the stability indicator (hourglass) dissapears." I have the AD11 for 2 days now but I don't see this indicator dissapear.. so what am I doing wrong? (it's already calibrated which went fine)

@@marlborordeci Hi, I had it wrong cause I didn't understand it well. With the sentence "Measurements should be taken when the stability indicator (hourglass) dissapears" I thought that the hourglass FIRST had to dissapear before putting the ph-meter IN the liquid. But ofcourse.. it will only dissapear when having it in the liquid to then get your measurement.. yeah bit stupid I was but the sentence wasn't clear for a novice like me ;)

I feel that the meter is not accurately reading when measuring PH 1-2 solutions. Is there any way to calibrate using a PH 1 or PH2 buffer to get it better accuracy around the PH1-2 level as most my chemical tanks I test are around PH1-2 Thanks

After the temperature unit has been selected, press the ON/OFF/MODE button to enter the buffer set selection mode. Dear Bizovski, You can use the opened calibration solution several times. Take care, not to contaminate the liquid, and to seal it well after using , so that it doesn't evaporate. For accurate calibration, ADWA recommends using freshly opened calibration solution.

+tom wolf  In general , for most of the applications, it is enough weekly one or two times.But if you use the meter for many samples daily , it is recommended daily calibration.After a longer storage, to have good accuracy, it is better to calibrate the meter before measuring.

Please follow the steps: • To enter the calibration mode please press and hold the ON/OFF/MODE button until OFF on the secondary LCD is replaced by CAL; • To reset to the default calibration values, press SET/HOLD after entering the calibration mode and before the first point is accepted; • The secondary LCD displays “CLR” for one second • The meter resets to the default calibration and the CAL tag disappears. Then, calibrate the meter again. If it won't help, please contact us again.

Dear Dr. Hoffer, Regarding your problem, probably the calibration solution you use for the calibration is old (It has been opened for a while) or contaminated and the meter cannot recognize its pH value. Please always use a fresh buffer solution for calibration! If it is not, I would like to ask you to reset to default values before calibration. Please follow the steps: • To enter the calibration mode please press and hold the ON/OFF/MODE button until OFF on the secondary LCD is replaced by CAL; • To reset to the default calibration values, press SET/HOLD after entering the calibration mode and before the first point is accepted; • The secondary LCD displays “CLR” for one second • The meter resets to the default calibration and the CAL tag disappears. I have now 3 AD11 not working showing wrong results from Hempatia and i got today new one i put for cal in 7 buff its show wrong then i clr and again same problem.. Last one working fine until yesterday ph is going down.. I dont know what is the problem but is so bad i waste money on 3 AD11 cmon.

For a single-point calibration with buffers pH 4.01, 9.18 or 10.01, the meter automatically accepts the calibration when the reading is stable. The accepted buffer is displayed together with the message “OK 1” for one second, then the meter automatically returns to the normal measuring mode. Note: For better accuracy, it is recommended to perform a 2-point calibration.

Just received mine and its not turning on

Dear Sir, Our meters are supplied with battery insulation strip. Taking out the new tester from the box, it will not switch on, as the battery insulation strip is mounted. Attention card is also supplied with the meter, with text: "Attention! Before use please remove safety strip from battery compartment." You have to remove the electrode from the body, so you will see the strip placed on the battery compartment. Simply remove the strip pulling it up, than mount back the electrode. When you are doing it, please reattach and tighten the electrode body properly (strongly) to ensure a watertight seal.
