I am lost for words man. Sitting here, late at night with teary eyes and a big smile on my face, I am so happy that my sister introduced me to his music when he dropped his first album. Since then his music played such a major role in my life and I just can't cope with the feeling that I am just feeling. I know his music so well and it still brings new excitement to me and he and his music will always kindle my memories in regards to my sister and other important people and experiences in my life. It may sound pretentious but that is transcendending art and love right there in his music and performance.

What an amazing text, what an amazing expression in his voice and music. I listen every day to his music. It inspire me, to fight for our freedom. The best song of this decade and future. I think he was wise to take a break, even though it disappointed people. He didn't make the mistake of so many young artists, of trying to do everything too quick and burning out, running out of inspiration and steam, doubtless pushed on by managers and recording companies milking the money tree. Then they have a couple of duff recordings and recording companies dump them., Takes some strength and self-awareness to do what he did. Look forward to hearing more for many years!!

He's come so far, when he first became well know, he used to do concerts with his eyes shut, never looking at the audience. He has grown in confidence, and his voice is amazing. A real songwriting talent. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves in my opinion. Though maybe he's not bothered, he's doing what he loves. Not many people can say that.
@rockstarnurse26938 жыл бұрын
You said everything here that I've thought as well. He just amazing, and will leave this earth a legend.
@michelle889608 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I'm also a rockstar nurse. Well a nurse, not so much the star bit. I have loved Paolo since These Streets, all his albums have been different. Sunny Side Up was quite upbeat, but Caustic Love always feels a bit dark to me. I love the album though, especially Iron Sky, Funk My Life Up, etc.
@rockstarnurse26938 жыл бұрын
michelle88960 Oh yeah? The only song I had in may playlist from These Streets was New Shoes, and the ONLY reason I found out about that song, was because it was in a movie (Something Borrowed) that I saw almost 4 years ago. After I downloaded New Shoes, I thought, "Oh, this guy's Italian. I would have never thought an Italian guy sang that song." Other than that, I knew nothing about him! Then just this year, I saw an interview of him on youtube, and I've been hooked ever since! You mentioned feeling Caustic Love is a bit dark. I think because Caustic Love is a reflection of a lot of things he's gone through before & during the 5 years he took of from his career; including a two year long relationship with his girlfriend he broke up with just some months ago. Also, for instance, 'Coming Up Easy' is about is his addiction and struggle with marijuana; No Other Way is about the struggle of being separated from his high school sweetheart while on the road touring, and how it destroyed the relationship; then Scream and Fashion are just fun songs. Scream is actually about a girl he met in a club while he was on hiatus; She was the DJ that night, and he said as soon as he walked in and saw her, he was in a trance. He said she was so confident in what she was doing, that was part of his attraction to her. After her set, she came over and approached him, and they started talking, and well....you know what happened after that! LOL. So the song is just abut the fun, sexual experience he had with her. Anyway....all his songs have a story behind them. But Caustic love probably feels a bit more heavy because he went through some heavy things this time around.

I am glad he is popular in the International Markets, and maybe he doesn't need the US Market, but the US Market can sure need him. Wow, what a talent!!! A Irish Italian that we can't understand when he talks, but we can sure understand in his lyrics. Funk, blues, reggae it doesn't get much better. He needs a US Tour, Tonight Show etc. "Paolo Is Coming", like they did in the 70"s. Sellouts for sure!!!
