The service dog and me “just for the sake of the chase.” These guys are walking in a field that is several miles long and wide with guns pointed on them, trucks that would easily catch up, and a helicopter is probably just minutes away. They’re not going anywhere. It’s irresponsible to risk your dog’s life and these men for the sake of the chase. Especially in today’s political climate where cops are under such scrutiny. Seems like an overuse of power. I bet you’d get disciplined.

What are you talking about? I think the training was sub par for k-9, the officer had to contain the dog the whole time during the arrest. Also, it could be argued in court that the suspects couldn't hear the commands due to the constant barking overpowering the officers voices. Literally dogs are pointless for police. They just die and waste tax dollars.

@@lucasrobison99 agreed he had to contain the dog the entire time but it was mostly done with voice commands . And the K9 dogs are trained to take a suspect down. Argued in court or not if they were running from the troopers and they could hear them yelling im pretty sure about that and they should know what a K9 dog is so when they heard the commotion from troopers and dog and still didn't want to stop right away I say let the dog go. Let him have a little taste of criminal essence and I can guarantee you they won't run quite as quick they next time . As for being a waste of money I disagree as the K9 dogs have apprehended and helped apprehend a lot of runners so no I think it's a good thing to have a dog or 4 on shift.

I just wanted to comment on that.. You're driving huge amounts of drugs cross country and you get pulled over for tail gating somebody or driving to close to the line or crossing it.. I mean, WTF? Where do they get these bozos?? In America you have a beautiful thing called Constitution which prevents the cops from stopping your vehicle if you haven't made any violation. Drug dealers should use that thing Jefferson, Hancock and the rest of the gang wrote more than 200 years ago. One more advice.. When your're hauling 500 000$ worth of dope, use back up. Two cars should accompany you. One driving in front of you, the other behind you and they should do something stupid to pull the attention from the car that actually has dope in it.. I used to have coffee with Duke once a week at a local coffee shop. He was a very calm, serene doggo.
