I love this show because my dad is a EMT that not only works in a ambulance but is a firefighter and works as a EMT on a helicopter and because of him I will always respect and thank first responders for what they do for the community

Count your blessing man, for reals. I complain that I’m behind on rent, don’t have a car, out of shape or whatever but I can change those things. But once your impacted like that or dead, it’s over man. I could have it worse but It’s not that bad . Well, gang-bangers don't indiscriminately shoot into cars so its almost certain he was up to no good even if he wasn't doing it at that very second. Still, the life sentence of blindness is far worse than anything else that could have happened to him.

My Husband of 34yrs was Hawaiian and Samoan, big guy bigger heart. He was a 1st responder, the stories he'd tell me, some so funny you'd laugh for days and some so heartbreaking you'd cry for days.... so many in the community loved him. Sadly he passed away suddenly. I honestly believe a big part of me went with him ( we'd been together since I was 14, married at 16, with 34yrs of marriage ) God bless Everyone out there

When I look into our children's eyes I see him everyday and I thank God for them and our grandbabies, the older three have clear memories, the three younger ones remember him and we all remember to help keep him alive for them. It probably never went into the brain, it went right Inbetween the eyes and the brain. Where the optical nerve is. So it looks like it hit the frontal Lobe, but in reality, it never got in there.

Sounds like it was of a smaller caliber round. Maybe a .22 or a 380. We had an incident like that where they were shot above the eyebrow, and it travelled across the face and into the shoulder. They stayed awake the whole time.
