It is VERY difficult to accurately predict which one will penetrate best because there are so many variables in real-life tests. This is one of those very rare events where a crude math-based prediction was spot on. Could be mere coincidence though!

You are 100% correct, also it was not fair for .22 cal because challenger bullpup at max power gave me 69/70 FPE but the .30 cal terminator was at 100 FPE , and .25 cal 90 FPE

Should try it with custom-made pellets. I've made some 3D printed pellets with a 1-inch steel finishing nail as the core. Goes through that many woods on a lower powered break barrel airgun. With these, it will go all the way to the metal. Easily go through the 16GA steel sheet as well since it doesn't deform like lead pellets.

Thanks for sharing. 1) Any issues with your AEA models, expecially your semi Terminator? 2) Where to find AEA spare parts, please? That's the thing important to me! I think to buy Challenger Pro. Sadly I find it in stock only in 22. I think in this model 22 is tied up with 25: 100 FPS difference with 33.95 pellets.

Little surprised only the .357 punched through. Thought some of the smaller calibers had enough velocity but guess the steel needed the extra momentum of the heavier projectile. I’ve never tested using 16 gauge barrier. Might have to visit the hardware store. I wondering if my 308 Texan will penetrate. I cast my own ammo (slugs) for my Texans. Wonder if 120 grn wheel weight slug at 1000 fps will pass through? I can also test a 180 grn slug at about 860 fps. Might be interesting to test both. Thanks for the video!

@@motorgearhead it is a great airrifle , the longest distance I ever did was 75 yards , and it was very accurate, but the rifle is capable to do longer distances

Let me ask again about your Terminator 30, please. How many shots and what to know about maintenance? Do you shoot slugs?

Fun but pointless because these calibers were shot at different speeds. It would have made sense if the .22 - .25 - .30 were all shot at 1000 fps for example. Then you would actually see the difference in impact between those caliber.

Your stmt makes sense if you are trying to understand the effect of caliber on terminal ballistics from a scientific point of view. His test demonstrates practical real-world results. He has chosen rifles from the same maker AEA and maxed them out. So ... in practice, this is what you'll see using AEA guns, even though in principle, the biggest caliber should win.

Look into fpe too you can have 1000 fps or you can have 1000 fps +105 fpe
