AEA Challenger 30 Cal - 4500 psi

So we are testing this Awesome 30 Cal at 4500 psi
It really hits the Fpe with the tiny slugs.

Usually tanks and bottles are designed to be able to withstand 3 times the rated pressure

@@bertbccfu9564 yes if the bottle is in perfect working condition. you double the pressure then drop it or ding it by accident it might blow up.

Well Common Sense applies of course if it is damaged then you shouldn't be fillling it too it double the pressure

@@bertbccfu9564 if you exceeding factory specifications you aren't applying common sense lol. 9k psi is a bomb. that's the same pressure black powder reaches. im pretty sure the factory limits on psi is to keep people from making bombs if a bottle fails. also more air in a bottle means more temp sensitivity.

Not saying to fill to 9k , the factory had tested these to i believe it was 12k ps so they deemed 4500 psi was perfectly safei

Bob are you going to make the airgun show this year in Kalamazoo? Love that Fred Bear song, Nugent is a heck of an artist for sure. With a memory like Ted has next time you talk to him ask him if he remembers the Back Door in Kalamazoo. It got blown away by a tornado years ago. I was a bouncer at that Rock bar soon after I got back from VietNam. Oh forgot to mention I've been having loads of fun with my AEA Callenger 357, supposedly that has the 7075 aircraft aluminum cylinder on it so I may up my pressure next time I get out with it. It has a 24" barrel. If you do make the airgun show this year I hope you've got some of those Nugent window stickers, I drove the one I got from you to the junkyard 3 days ago in my old Ford truck and now I've got a newer F150 that needs one.

I'd really love to get an AEA Challenger .30 cal with the 32 inch barrel but I don't like how they look without the shroud. Is there a custom / aftermarket shroud available somewhere that fits the 32 inch barrel? I could buy the better looking and handling 24 inch version but if I get the 24 inch version I'm getting only marginally more FPE's than with my Huben K1. I'm looking for an excuse to buy it because it looks so awesome. I could of course get a 24 inch .357 and make more power than the Huben, but then I'd have no use for my Benjamin Bulldog anymore. I hate having these luxury problems where you don't really need a new gun but you're trying to find excuses to get one, lol :-) If there only were a 32 inch shrouded version I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Barrel length has no bearing on the pressure, so yes.

@@richiebrown9623 24 ”barrel version is standard for hunting.You can filling to 26MPa it’s easy to get two magazines' good shots. The overall length and cocking force are very balanced. The power is not small, about 110fpe, which is more than most other 30cal gun. The 32 inch gun is made for some users who need extreme power. The power is terrible. Besides the longer barrel, the valve is also larger. But the disadvantage is that it needs to filling to 30-31mpa, the cocking force is very large, and it can only get 8- 9 good shots. And very long, no shroud. So each has advantages and disadvantages

That looks like a different stock then is usually on the 30 cal and looks more like the 50 cal stock.

Stock, AEA Challengers are bad ass right out of the box. You need to soup the crap out of a impact to even come close.

Yes this is the 32 and it is crazy long especially once you put on a suppresor , its like a broom stick lol , but you do get a lot of power and crazy accuracy, Its available in the 24" barrel which of course would be a much better hunter
