Yeah one of the most OP bullsh*t units in the game, it is almost impossible to not rack up tons of kills with the PE mortar halftrack unless you have horrible micro skills.

On the British howitzer, its probably worse because it is the QF-25pdr, which was only had an 84mm barrel. The US howitzer is the M2 I think, a 105mm howitzer. So A LOT of additional space for explosive filler in that shell. The QF-25pdr should have a slightly higher firing rate, not sure if they went that far. The QF-25pdr was extremely durable, reliable, pretty light-weighted and easy to produce, there is a reason the British were content with it and used it until the 1960s, while it is still in service with the Cypriot National Guard and the Kurdish Peshmerga forces in Iraq.

IRL yeah, in-game it has the exact same stats as the US 105 mm howitzer. Even the Hummel 155 mm actually has slightly worse AOE damage spread than the US 105 mm and British 25 pounder emplacement and Priest. It's bit of a mess up from the developers but that is how it is.

Late game Axis is so good. Allies have to be about careful and clever aggression because you simultaneously have to pressure (cos late game Axis is so strong) while not overextending and getting wiped out.
