She was very ill but wanted to create this video from one of her favorite nests with Romeo and Juliet. It was the last video she did before passing away. She was a dear friend and I miss her so much 🌷💔Her tribute and her life will always be remembered. Good morning BB. I must say this was a very touching and emotional tribute video. So well done from beginning to end. Elton Johns 2 songs you chose were a perfect music choice to accompany these beautiful pictures and such heartfelt footage. I was not able to watch the nest as often as I would have liked this season so your videos were always much appreciated. Romeo and Juliet, Sky and Spirit had a near perfect season with the exception of the pesky owl, lol. I hope you know that all of us fans have great appreciation for your work. The American Eagle Foundation was lucky to have you covering their nest all this time. I wish you blessings and Gods protection during these times. Dear Birdbrain, I tried to watch this video 5 days ago. I got about halfway through and could no longer see through the tears and tear spots on my glasses. At that time the reality had just set in that both Sky and Spirit had left the Hamlet which brought tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Today I was able to watch it all the way through! Though it still brought tears to my eyes, I could wipe them away and continue watching. Your video was so moving. It brought back such fond and precious memories of the entire season. I was even able to manage a smile here and there. You captured how loving Romeo and Juliet were to each other and to their offspring as well as the cute personalities of Sky and Spirit through your combination of stills and video. You also captured how close Sky and Spirit were and how well they learned to fly through your use of stills and cam3. They turned into such magnificent juvenile eagles that sure could soar. Your music selection also helped to bring the emotions forward especially the 'circle of life' for me. It just made me realize even more strongly that Sky and Spirit from the very beginning were born to fly with the wind beneath their wings and to soar to new adventures in new places. This is the first time I have seen a poem by you. It was so beautiful and to the point. You are so talented to put this tribute together to bring out the essence of the Hamlet during a near perfect year in the life of Romeo and Juliet raising their gorgeous offspring, Sky and Spirit. I read in one of your comments below that you are retiring from creating videos due to health reasons. This brings tears to my eyes. I love all your videos, especially the ones with all the witty comments. It seems as though you know exactly what the eagles are thinking. Your love and compassion for the bald eagle comes through with each video you produce. Living in the Tidewater area of VA, the Norfolk Botanical Gardens nest was my 1st nest to watch. I was not aware of youtube videos back then but have since run across your coverage of that nest as well. Then came the DC nest for me. That is when I became aware of your work and subscribed to your channel. I personally want to thank you for all the work you have done and all the pleasure I have received from your videos!! I will truly miss you. The world will miss you. The eagles will miss you. May God immensely bless you for all the work you have done through the years to promote the awareness of the bald eagle to anyone and everyone who owns a computer. I will be praying for your health to improve. And He does listen!!!!

This season with Romeo, Juliiet, Sky and Spirit has been so special to me and bittersweet as it could very well be my last chance to watch this majestic pair raise their young. I miss Sky and Spirit so much but I know they will do well on their life's journey. NBG was also my first nest to watch. It opened up a whole new world to me and I wanted to learn everything I could about Bald Eagles. I had no idea anything like this existed and then imagine my joy when I discovered there were more eagle cams then I could possibly watch. It has been a wonderful experience. Your video took my breath away ~ in a good way! Did you know that when you showed the close up of the 1st egg (Sky) that Elton was singing "I picked a star from the SKY?" Perfect timing! Although I did try to sync the pictures with the music, I didn't notice the "picked the star from the sky" sync until you mentioned it. 😊 In the second segment I tried to time the "leap of faith" to both eaglets as they fledged. I won't be recording other nests. I'm 'retiring' due to health issues.
