I think they need highs because the lows alone begin to sound monotone due to the fact that there isn't anything to contrast it. I mean shit even some mids would be great. It's just annoying to see a vocalist do one specific kind of vocals. Still an amazing band though.

2024 and still haven't seen one, or a drum cover. Not even a bass cover.
i love how Ambient and open-ended the first 3minutes of the track are, you almost lose focus and drift off into a beautiful sea of metal heaviness. then around 3min in, it picks up the pace with an incredibly dark and aggressive tempo, yet keeps it's hypnotizing quality. what am i talking about? God dammit, this band makes me love metal more each and every day. \m/ rock on Aegaeon. Rock on .

Yeah. Aegaeon's old stuff was great. And the album Dissension was great to put on full stream because it all flowed, but the songs kind of sounded similar and kept the same tempo. But THIS. This is a MASSIVE change. It's much more progressive and more technical. Good job Aegaeon!

For all its heaviness, this song has that wonderful atmospheric undercurrent running underneath it. Parts like 5:50 really give this an edge over the vast majority of heavy shit around today. Plus the amount of absolutely boss solos is to be credited. AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THE BASS. Age is definitely really good, and definitely sounds like an Aegaeon creation but in my opinion is missing the signature sound that Jerry added with his atmospheric compositions. "Void" and "Metamorphosis" are the only 2 tracks on there that have a sliver of that atmosphere, and consequently are the only ones that continue to give me goosebumps upon each listen. "Neural Union" is just goosebump insanity. It happens to be Anthony Barone's magnum opus before he left as well.... the technical complexity of the drum parts is unreal. I feel you, an album of just this kind of sound would be incredible.
