i would recommend bringing a car (core box or Mystery machine cause its awesome) plus bugle and apt building like you did the quin jet just to see the size relative to the roads, parks, parking lot spaces, etc for the mat review videos

I had some takes with the terrain, and there was something off about it, at least upon review. I suspect it would just take a few more takes, and placement to get a better feeling look.

I appreciated the review of these mats, especially seeing the different styles. If you're thinking of doing more, I'd love to see you highlight third party terrain and/or models that you like playing with.

I have been thinking about some more videos along those lines. Not much in the way of third party terrain on hand, but definitely a consideration

Thanks for the review. Another issue is that you can custom order double sided mats, but deep cut only pre-marks one side which is unfortunate.

Good to note. I only reviewed what I received, so I was not aware of that. That is an odd practice

Did they send it to you AFTER the rework? That would be a little worrying to me. I've been waiting for them to release mats with the new markings, but maybe they're just ignoring the changes and hoping buyers don't care.

I assume you are asking about the misprinted objective locations? If so, they had sent me one of the initial ones, with some of the markers in the wrong place. After a quick conversation, they sent out replacement ones. It is something I addressed within the video, as I felt it important to note that some misprinted stock exists, but in my case, they did correct it

I've been considering buying a mat at somepoint but I also want to build my own modular tile board at somepoint so I'm torn

I have both, and I have to admit, the convenience of the mat wins out almost all the time. But there is definitely appeal to the modular designs

@@AegisbrandStudios would you recommend more than 1 mat then? Feels like constant city scape would get repetitive quick

A lot comes down to how much you are personally up for spending. Though, I think an urban mat and a generic grassy style mat is probably not a bad idea. I am kind of in a unique position, with the filming. But on top of that, I pretty much furnished most of the terrain and mats for my LGS for MCP as well.

@@AegisbrandStudios thats completely fair. I know my buddy and I were going to try to plan to play at least once a week so getting more stuff might be a better idea. Downside is plans keep changing so the once a week hasn't really happened yet.

Oof. Streamer, or casual, eh? Well, everyone will have their own takes on it. Honestly, I wish these were the standard for events. It speeds up the set up process so much, and removes any doubt if a token gets nudged

@@AegisbrandStudios I guess I'm kinda lucky. The LGS by me all use marked mats. Won't help at a con though. Yeah just too much climbing across a game table otherwise haha. The designs r sick tho

@@AegisbrandStudios casual too btw. Yeah they should be mandatory for events. Think it helps make it harder for cheaters too.
