I'm using Mocha AE and I don't see an export data option. Edit: If i try copying the tracking data from the keyframes in After Effects applying them from Mocha, I get the error "You put something in the main data box but it was wrong in ways I can't imagine" in Aegisub. If I change the copied data to replace "Adobe After Effects 8.0 Keyframe Data" at the beginning to read "Adobe After Effects 6.0 Keyframe Data" I get the error "The length your main data (0 frames) doesn't match the length of your lines (151) frames and I quit" in Aegisub.

Oh wow you're actually 100% correct. That's a pretty big error on my part: one of the limitations of Mocha AE is that it doesn't let you export tracking data. Sorry about that, I should've booted up my copy and actually tried to use it before I brazenly included it as working for this.

Thank you! I'm one of those people that are crazy into details when it comes to my work and have done lots of tracking frame to frame by hand. At this point, you might want to call me Mocha itself LOL. I recently installed DependencyControl and so everytime I want to do something by hand I stop to see if there's any option to have the scripts make it easier. Today I thought that it's time to try tracking. I've seen examples of virtual motion tracking that looks nightmarish by hand with how heavy the perspective change is, surely done in only a few minutes by the subber. As Godly as it feels when you watch the perfection of your work, I can't afford to do it every time. This video was the first, and the absolute best thing I could find. Not only is it useful, but the part of your personality that come across from it is a huge bonus! You feel fun, feel like an older brother and a good friend that spends time on his friends and I saw a bunch of relatable things here that I'd never seen anywhere else before. My favorite was when you wanted to rotate the text on its X and Ys 😂😂👌 I swear, with that feature the very first try is always the best one. Once again, Thank you so much for making this clear tutorial ✨😀

I can't thank you enough for making this concept very easy to understand. Thank you very much! 🙏🙏🙏. I successfully tracked a sign and applied it in an anime video on the first try for the very first time too, all thanks to your video!! 😆

Nonsense, it's because you believed in yourself and sat down to fiddle with the software for a bit. Glad I could help, happy subbing.

Thanks, you are our Aegisub Sensei. It would be useful to see a walkthrough of all the HotKeys that you use. - For ex. If you use Audio/Scroll/Left and Right with the keyboard; or you use the Mouse or non of those. And, If you have a good way of inserting a Transcription (wall of text, not divided in Lines) into the Lines that you made. Other than separating line per line and copying-pasting into your project once you made the timing
@bipedal
@bipedal 3 жыл бұрын
In Aegisub I use the mouse scroll wheel to navigate through the waveform (and ctrl + wheel to zoom). I'm actually not familiar with timing a whole wall of text at once. I know if you paste anything in that has line breaks, it will create a line for each break with 00:00:00 start and end timecodes, so I suppose you could do that and then just move down through them and set them as they show up. My other aegisub video has the non-obvious hotkeys that I set, but if there's any other UI stuff you want to know, feel free to ask. Your hotkeys and navigation will largely be a product of your own workflow, so I'd try to set stuff up to work for you rather than trying to emulate my setup 100%.

There's not a whole lot more general subbing stuff I can do; someone with the existing resources (better than mine) online and these two videos should be able to sit down and get moving after a few hours. I can probably try to help with specific questions, but otherwise it's just something you've gotta do since it depends so much on what you're working with and how you want to handle it. I could probably put a thing together on how I burn hardsubs in (reluctantly, when I have to), but that's all pretty clear in the ffmpeg documentation already.

I'm currently trying to sub an anime and i need to track a sign, do you have any advice for this type of task? Because i'm having a bit of a problem trying to track it, since this type of signs are between 6/8 fps and the changes that occur are too sudden (1 frame the sign is "bending" foward and the next one is already bending backwards) and mocha is having a hard time tracking it!
@bipedal
@bipedal 10 ай бұрын
That sounds like it could get tricky. Probably the best way is to mess with it for a bit, then look into some of BorisFX's own tutorials on Mocha. They do a good job with them, and you might pick up the advice you need about stuff like manual tracking and fiddling with your shapes and such.

Hello! I am using MacOS and when I try to trim, the following error appears: Encoding error: /var/folders/w1/mq3s4_t548z353xw851wng840000gr/T/a-mo.encode.sh: line 2: /Users/(name)/Documents/aae-export.py: Permission denied If there is no log before this, your encoder is not a working executable or your encoding command is invalid. I have no idea how to fix it and seems this tracking method do not work on MacOS. Any ways to solve the problem? Thanks!
@bipedal
@bipedal 2 жыл бұрын
Pretty spooky, and unfortunately I have no Mac experience. Try looking up how to chmod that aaa-export.py to open up the permissions so it can be run by that .sh script, or maybe there's a way to set the .sh script to run with elevated permissions?

Hey, thanks for this tutorial. It was working perfectly but recently the trim function has completely stopped working and I keep getting the error: Encoding error: x264_32_tMod-8bit-all.exe : mp4 [info]: audio muxing feature is disabled. At line:1 char:46 Do you have any idea what might be the problem?

I do not! It looks like... An issue with that .exe, I guess? I'd search for and find that and see if you can figure out what it got installed by, maybe you can install it again?

You'll get the frame length mismatch if you don't have the same length selected in aegisub that you exported. I get the quicktime message too, that shouldn't hurt you!

@@bipedal hey I'm after solving the problem i will type it so may someone get advantages from it Every line has frames The frames you decide by aegisub and the frames must be the same on mocha (redline) Tip: You don't need to export each line a video The same video just type start frame and end frame in both applications in the same ways i wrote above or another ways i don't know it

Thank you for that tutorial, unfortunately it doesn't work for me since the tracking I'm trying to do is a paper coming from outside the screen and Mocha tracks well until the paper is out of the screen…
@bipedal
@bipedal 3 жыл бұрын
If you check out some of the Mocha tutorials, you should be able to find something. Usually you'd track it while onscreen and then do some manual keyframing to get it to move away smoothly.

@bipedal
@bipedal 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, that usually sounds like the binaries are in the wrong place. Does aegisub-motion have some kind of output log? That might point to what's getting in the way.
