I started watching Ashley and others during Lockdown. I was 58 years young when I started up in January 2021. Its taken 2 yrs plus to get a really good round. I do 6 wkly cleans. Now pushing nearly 200 regular customers. You don't have to be youngish to start a new business, a new life. Thanks Ashley and the others I watched , for the inspiration and your knowledge you give on your videos.

It must be hard trying to fit them around your working life but the set you've made is there forever now so not complaining! Thank you again, Paul

Hey Ashley! Great vids and advice. I just wanted to ask, when using a WFP what PSI would you operate with, do you always go with 100 PSI then use a uni-valve to reduce flow when needed? Also would you recommend any chemicals to apply before a pure water clean just to aid the dirt and grime removal? Thanks again!
@aemackintosh Жыл бұрын
Yeah, most pumps are 100psi, but it’s also the flow rate that you want to look out for. Most window cleaning pumps are around 3.5-5 litres per minute.👍🏼

Hi Ash, Could you give any advice to me? I'm working at least 10 hours days on a 6-weekly round. At least 5 days a week, more often 6 days a week. I work on my own with a 500litre Set up in a transit connect. My problem is that I'm exhausted. I'm working so many hours that It could be a struggle over the winter. I'm not spending enough time with my family and friends. All of my energy is going into the business and it comfortably turns over £1.2k per week solely from windows. I want to grow and employ people but I'm lacking the confidence to do it and the guidance. I also feel that supporting someone else will ease my personal workload givjng me more time with my family. I have no qualms about earning less money personally by employing someone else as I know my time is more valuable than the money. I know how knowledgeable you are on running businesses similar to mine and just wondered if you might have some pointers? I agree with you about running a window cleaning business. It's changed my life for the better. I feel I've got to the stage where the business is running me and I need to get back in control. Thanks alot. Tom
@aemackintosh Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message Tom. Firstly, I hope you’ve put prices up this year along with everyone else. Second, yes, I totally feel your pain, window cleaning can feel like a bit of a treadmill sometimes. It would really make a difference to have someone work along with you. The company is great, but they would learn your round and your methods and could eventually do some on their own perhaps? Also, additional services are great. They would bring in bigger lumps of money and break up the window cleaning. Loads more business techniques in my training courses. www.aemackintosh-onlinetraining.com/collections

Sore neck, bad posture, van prices through the roof, lack of respect, British weather and the “not today my cat don’t feel well” lead me to a different career after 14 years doing WFP. Waiting to get paid and like I am mentioned the lack of respect was the deal breaker for me.
