Thanks! For fitness, the main goal will be to find your sub-niche and dominate in one small area. Going too broad with keywords and content rarely works. You can find low competition informational keywords around certain HIIT exercises and workouts. Use Convertkit to create an exit intent pop up and build your email list. Create a HIIT lead magnet for joining, like a 30 day HIIT routine, then over time you can sell your own program. For affiliate revenue, look for transactional keywords with KD under 10. The biggest thing in 2024 is building topical authority and serving an audience for one thing - every article should be helpful for someone interested in HIIT.

I just checked out your blog post on podcast hosting and at a time when you have a pop-up for your upsell when I user closes that pop up, the Contant scrolls all the way back up. then the user has to scroll back down to find the spot where he was reading. I’d just keep all of your agency services under a services tab in your menu. Then your blog can write all about informational content on what you do - i.e. how to design landing pages, how to create video ads, etc. You can also write transactional posts for affiliate revenue, like best AI landing page builders, best AI video editors, etc. Just make sure you keep your content concise and in one niche. And find keywords with low competition (KD under 5-10). Your blog content strategy and monetization via affiliate marketing and ads will have no negative impact on your own products and programs. You would be better off getting agency clients faster doing outbound sales and marketing via something like LinkedIn rather than inbound from traffic.

Yes, I got rid of a lot of random stuff that was working in the past but probably confusing Google. Finance, crypto, and gold posts. We made money with them but they weren’t serving us anymore. If articles are still helping your main niche audience, I typically recommend to not delete them, just publish more.

I'm really missing something. If the strategy is to have a content business where you sell your own content, what makes your content better than anyone else's? Why does the algorithm suggest your content vs someone else's? It sounds as if it really is just all a cult of personality and likes, not actually about content. For example, when there are dozens of youtube videos on the same subject with virtually the same content, what makes one earn more than the others? I'm guessing whoever was first, and whoever has the most likes or subscribers. That doesn't sound like a solid long term strategy for someone starting to post their own content on the same topic.

This is a good question. Let me tackle one question at a time… The algorithm suggests content based on click through rate on the thumbnail and retention. How many people clicked on your video and how many watched a good portion of it. When there are dozens of videos on a certain topic, ones may get more views and get recommended more based on the above. But there isn’t scarcity on KZbin. Just because there might be 50 videos on planting strawberries doesn’t mean the 51st won’t get views. That’s not how KZbin works and there’s literally billions of people on here. And you’re not really selling “content.” In a course and community, you’re selling the implementation of a strategy + accountability. So I sell a course on blogging for example, but so do other people. Why is mine better? The offer with coaching, the actual strategy for students, and the execution. And yes, it’s somewhat an attention contest, but that’s basically how business has run since the beginning of time. You need people to be interested in what you’re selling consistently to make consistent sales. And since we’re not all big brands like Nike who spend millions on advertising, we create free organic content to build an audience and sell them our own implementation of a strategy. A transformation - anything from blogging to woodworking to learning the guitar. And building an organic audience over time is the best long term strategy there is for any business.
