Aeolian and Arabian Bamboo Flutes by the Flute Wizard

For those viewers who want to learn a little music theory: The first flute was in the Aeolian Mode, also known as the Natural Minor Scale. The second flute was in what is called an Arabian scale, which is actually a Harmonic Minor Scale with the fifth note or dominant as the fundamental or bottom note of this flute.

Too cool! I’ve been collaborating with and buying flutes from Kyle for years now. I can’t say enough good things about him and his flutes. These are both fantastic offerings at a reasonable price point. I own a dozen of Kyles flutes, some are custom made that we collaborated on and some just flutes he made has made for sale . Hi Jonny, How does the tuning on these flutes compare with the Hijaz flutes that Stellar Flutes manufactures?

The tuning is the same for the scales. It may be that you would prefer one voicing over another. Bamboo has a different timbre for sure. Also, at this time Stellar has only a High C available, so your choice of key could be a factor here.
