As I edge closer to choosing a vehicle for full timing, I can keeping a very close eye on AEONrv. You are hitting all the right notes with me. Looking forward to seeing a lot more from you!

What is the long term care for the adhesive that connects the box to the truck, as in drying out or becoming brittle? Its awesome you did your homework, you guys have answered a lot of the wants and needs of the customer!🇺🇸
@jimritchie89662 жыл бұрын
The polyurethane adhesive cures slightly flexible. The working life is something like 25-50 years depending on how how much UV and extreme temperatures it sees. We are currently providing a 5 year complete warranty on the box integrity, but we expect it to last 25+ years. In theory you could "re-caulk" exposed joints at some point, but we don't think it will be necessary. This technology has been used in refrigeration trucks in Europe for at least 30 years.

Love the build it'll totally be the Ekko killer, but I'm wondering if there'll be more customization options in the future, like I personally would like mine to only having the kitchen window as I have no need for the dinning and bedroom windows, also I'd rather have a smaller garage size to hace the bed lower about 1-2 drawers, and instead of the cabinets at the foot of the bed have an option for a TV mount at the center with like a smaller cabinet at both sides of the TV, or something like that

These type of customizations are really not possible without changing many parts and build processes so the cost would be very high. One reason we are able to offer the AEONrv at this price point is we "design for manufacturing" and we are automating processes and parts. For instance, the body panels and all the cabinetry is CNC cut in large quantities and shipped flat pack to us. With that said, one of the design goals of the AEONrv is to make it user customizable. However, when you start talking about changing window locations or cabinetry we suspect the cost and effort likely won't be worth it. Thanks for the feedback.

@@jimritchie8966 I see, may I ask what are the inner dimensions of the box? My girlfriend thinks it looks too small while I say it looks just perfect, oh also I don't know if I didn't pay enough attention to the full review video but how long did you say the batteries could last completely off grid on a full charge?
@jimritchie89662 жыл бұрын
@@deathangelx1338 Regarding batteries it is all a function of how much power you use running the AC, cooking, etc. Also, are you parked in the sun or shade. However 2-3 days is a good estimate assuming you are getting at least a bit of solar. The AEONrv is designed to go off-grid for a week plus as long as you idle and get solar energy to recharge the batteries.

This RV has quickly become my favorite box RV/van. Well thought out layout I think superior to both the Ekko & the Advanced RV B Box rv... & it's off road capable & NOT a dually! lol My one question is, Is there an alternative to the current A/C unit? Like a Cruise & Comfort style that's hidden? I love everything about this rv except that bulky, window style A/C currently on this RV. Thanks!

We've redesigned the outside AC mount to be smaller and less conspicuous and it is painted to match the body. We have some photos on facebook.com/groups/aeonrv Using a modern mini-split is key in our design as it is very efficient, at least 2x of a C&C type AC and 2.5x most traditional RV AC units. In addition, it is a heat pump that we use for optional heating down to -13F. Finally, it is so much quieter than those other units and in whisper mode operates at 27dB.

Is there any reason you use Korapop rather than Sikaflex?
@aeonrv2 жыл бұрын
Sikaflex makes good products as well. Kommeling Korapop has a long and proven usage with our system, also fiberglass and polyurethane foam we use is also from Germany so there is that.

Would I have to go to your factory to purchase or can be shipped to an rv store near me (Louisiana)? Also, how long is the wait once ordered? Thank you.

The german glue if applied in a continuous line w/o a break would provide the water tightness. So is the marine grade caulk just a secondary line of defense or is it a component of the primary defense? The cheap American junk the major players give us all use caulk witch fails after a couple of years. So when described the use of marine caulk, my spine stiffened. Wow you guys are the first to listen to the public and design an RV ground up with simple, up to date tech and convenience. Bravo. PS. The only thing I would add is more lithium and the whole drivers side of the box covered with thin flexible solar. In case of a nuclear attack that unit and cockroaches would be able to live happily post facto.
