II found that it did not have enough bottom end so i added a POWERED subwoofer to mine . What a difference MY! MY! MY !.

Guitar with pick up did not do amp justice... the amp sounds better with certain pickups on certain guitars...this is not showing the best of this amp...wrong person and guitar to demonstrate..

Why are they so expensive?

They are made in Germany, not in China, so one hopes that the people who build them make a good living.

They are built like tanks! I’ve had mine for 5 years and it’s never let me down. Been dropped, thrashed and travelled everywhere. You pay extra for the engineering and reliability. It also sounds incredible. To me that means money well spent.

You are so so correct.. had mine over ten years... always was sounding terrific.. after twelve years the volume was getting to make crackle sounds when turning the volume gain . Took to a decent music store had them open it up and clean the connections... was perfect afterwards.. the guy who did the work said all the nobs controls were aircraft quality products..the stuff used in aircrafts for electrical controls

Mine fell off a table. Still worked just fine. Never trouble at gigs. This thing is also a great clean amp for jazz guitars.
