I would venture to say that it is 800 hours on the lowest setting, but to be honest, we've had ours at varying settings and not gone below 50% on any of the scents. But I would venture to say we get 500 - 600 hours.

If you do you don't need this one. I bought one a year ago and within 2 months it stopped working so they sent another. Two months later it stopped working again so they sent another one. it's one year later and I've had 5 and all five have crapped out within two months or less. I called and asked if I could just get a refund and they said no because it's been over a year even though I hadn't had any machine for more than two months. I would strongly advise against wasting your money.

How many square feet does the scent cover? Do you think you need more than 1 in a 1000ft space ?

It kinda depends on airflow of the house. We have 2 stories and can smell the scents upstairs but not in parts of the 1st floor (where the aera is located). But I’d bet you’d be ok with 1.
