In the USA Agtractor manufactures specific planes for Aerial spraying . They build a super strong pilot cage for pilots to survive crashes. Someone needs to build a roll cage for helicopters that do this work.

I'm ex ag. Strength is weight and these choppers need to be light. When they go in they usually get bundled up in a ball and the same in ag, that is not good.

And there is probably more killed in ag each year than mustering.

AGREE with ,first last, you would need to be really vigilant around rotorhead , excessive cycles exceeding manufacturers specs, but venison recovery in nz , and spraying do aswell..so keep vigilant, they the r22 and h300 are very reliable aircraft...cheers you guys ,stay safe..

A helicopter is not a toy. Admittedly, the flying I have seen from these musterers is impressive, but overly risky. Going in and out of trees and the motion the helicopter is put through is not what these cheap little Robinson and S300 choppers are designed for.

Pretty popular heli for this sort of application. And well proven or quite some period of time too

@@KN-lq4zv Being almost the only option does not mean it is the popular choice.

@@chippyjohn1 there are a few options in this space but this one has proven to be fit for purpose, like anything they are quite use to the environmental awareness required to do the job, a bit more dangerous than what most pilots are used to, but for the amount of cattle per acre and the vast property sizes, it’s the only option for time and cost effective mustering. Seeing them in action first hand, it’s impressive.
