Just FYI. These larger UAVs don’t do well when close it the ground. I’ve observed in the field that they can be subjected to unstable movements when close to the ground caused by its own air wash. I don’t recommend making large adjustments near the ground like he did but adjusting with 10-15 feet altitude and then bring her down. A lot of accidents happen near the ground because you don’t have spaces to operate if you need too.

A lot of people have posted the question here, "all this just to fly?!" Yes, it is a lot to do just to fly, but like he said, if you you follow this video, and if you don't want to crash on your first flight, this is a great tutorial video. And, one thing, and this one of the most important things to do, CALIBRATE YOUR COMPASS, AND, WHEN YOU GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION, RECALIBRATE! One good video on KZbin is buy flying his Phantom at a park, then the pressed the HOME button and the Phantom flew alway... they guy was panicking but he lost his drone. He went back home and the drone was sitting in his driveway. He had set the home position there and then took the drone a few blocks away to fly. So, if you follow this guy's video instruction and RECALIBRATE THE COMPASS. more than likely you'll have some good flying time no matter how long it takes.

Good video and well produced. I would not do my very first flight with the gimbal attached. Perhaps on the 3rd round i would do that. What do you think?

I might be having a freelance job but using this instead of the Phantom 4. Are the controls basically the same? I know the client wants to control the camera while I control the copter.

Dear Sir. I have just bought me a Dji 900. I am trying to calibrate the GPS. I move the Flymode stick back/foreward about ten times until I get the BLUE LED constant. Then I spin around slowly with the Drone horisontal until I get the GREEN LED constant. Than I turn Drone to vertical and start spin around sowly 360 degres, but the LED is still GREEN. It will not stop being constant and start to flash. I have tryed to connect batteri with black (-) cable first and Red (+) last and clockwise but still the same problem. Any suggestion..?? I also want the monitor you have on your Radio. Where to buy.?? Thanks

Patrick, maybe you can help me... Unfortunately I didn't buy my dronewith you but I hope you still can help with my problem - I can’t have anysupport with TBM… I bought a DJI s1000 last year an still never flown with ityet. The drone used to start but for a reason I don’t know, it doesn’t want to start when I pull both sticks for starting the engines anymore... any Ideal what is wrong - what could be the problem ? Could it be a link with the futaba radio… I’m a new B…thanks so much... Marc

I hope that this thread is still active, so that I can ask some questions! I have wished for a S900 or S1000 for many years and even though I owned an Inspire 1 and now have a Sky Hero Spy Y6-900 and Mavic 2 Zoom, I couldn't resist when I got the possebility to buy both a S900 and a S1000. Both came with dual Futaba T14SG Mode2 connected to A2,Lightbridge 1, Zenmuse Z15 GH4 and HD Ground station 10" display with HDMI. 1. Can I adapt the GH4 gimbal for the Sony NEX-6 camera that I have? Not really interested in fotage or video from this, just to get a clear HD image to transfer to the grtoundstation. 2. I use Naza-M V2 with Futaba T10J Mode2 in my Sky Hero Spy Y6-900 and there I have the throttle stick centered 100-0-100, but the Futaba T14SG are set 0-100 throttle stick. I want to be able to release the throttle stick and have the machine halted and position when the stick is released, (standard DJI setup), is this possible to change? 3. Can I connect my Eachine EV200D HD goggles via the HDMI to the groundstation? Thanking you in anticipation!

@AerialMediaPros9 жыл бұрын
James Wewengkang Lightbridge is an option on all of our packages, and there are pros and cons to the Lightbridge HD downlink system. Until recently some of DJI Zenmuse gimbals have been incompatible with Lightbridge, but now we confidently recommend Lightbridge as a viable option for the S900. Give us a call 888-557-6791 and we can walk you through everything, making sure you get exactly what you are looking for.

What connector are you using for your lipo?
@AerialMediaPros9 жыл бұрын
Iswadi Aziz The connectors used on the LiPo are the standard AS150/XT150 female connectors required for DJI's Spreading Wings platforms. This makes the setup very easy for plug and play operation. This also gives you a very secure connection giving you confidence that your copter will not lose contact with the battery.

yeah but the weird thing is, what does this 'enhance' over the Phantom 4? The camera of the P4 (especially the Pro) is pretty darn good, and... the livestream via the app.... is way better then the DIY videolinks... I thought of getting a bigger drone for flying at higher wind speeds, but... the Phantom can take pretty strond winds (flown at 26 knots), and... with those high winds you either need 'shelter' to get in the air, or, like I do with my Phantom, start/land by hand, which... is probably near to impossible with a hexa this size...
