I totally agree with your closing words, the amount of limited weapons is too much, and knowing that Cid will launch with a limited weapon means the cycle doesn't end. I hope they realize it before the casual and light spenders all ditch the game. I really like the original content for First soldier and want to see what happens next with Sephiroth and Murasame.

I absolutely agree about the state of the game and the absolutely stupid disgusting amount of LB banners we seem to keep getting. Last year the New Year's weapons weren't limited. Now they are? That seems extraordinarily dumb and absolutely egregious. On top of that is the Cloud NY outfit. AB seems to want you to pay $120 to reasonably get that Cloud outfit. Absolutely bait but it's also the type of thing to even piss off the whales. I also want to mention the three "free" pull tickets AB gave for completely the boss rush. What's the point of them? No one wants to do single pulls on banners and so instead of giving like 900 gems or a full banner pull of tickets they give 3 tickets to entice people to spend. Again, greedy and absolutely stupid business practices. I don't think I've come away from this event with positive feelings. AB just seems like they're pulling bullshit to squeeze money out of us. Even the bigger spenders that I know are livid with how everything is playing out currently, so your opinion is absolutely warranted and should offend no one.

About this banner, I pulled for Aerith staff that I will use more than Tifa gloves. There are many mistake in this game (as you said) : - Too many limited banner : September for 1 year, October for Angeal, November for FF6, January for new year. And maybe soon too for Cid... - Cross limited banner is bad for most player. Some will said they could have weapon for each character and both costume in 2 page like that. But need ob6 weapon in order to really use it. So better have one LB banner for each character and not one for both. - Blue Daffodil Gloves is really better than Locke's Sword. Really strange to have it less than 2 month after it... - Story chapter coming to slowy Don't know what you think about Crash too, but some of them are still too hard without having the right weapon like Kamura. So if you missed to pull on one weapon, you can hardly do it (or simply can't do it). It should be hard to do, but far from nearly impossible for day one players.

I think given that we just got magic wind cloud, 2025 will be at least the half year of magic everything being needed. Crimson staff will be the one people are kicking themselves for missing when they're having to use 2 weapons for its 2 buff/debuffs. Using it effectively means you can run 2 dps on a magic damage fight because you won't need a support.

Its getting safe to say that a good majority of the community are seeing the issues and are concerned. We lost one of our stop guild members when the new years banner came because all the banners and their obvious tactics.. I respect them for the decision but sad to see them go. I imagine square will make an announcement to address it or least announce a road map that can convince people to stick around for the long haul.

I think Aeriths weapon is in some ways better than kamura. Kamura js useful for all physical teams due to patk up, but sometimes the mdef up isnt useful. And then there is the opposite where you need mdef but the patk isn't useful, because you are using a magic team. With this new staff you are essentially get the ultimate magic weapon- giving 3 things a magic team wants (matk, mdef down, and matk all). The only real downside is if the boss is immune to mdef down.

As a mid/high spender, I have to agree as well. The limited banner are becoming too much. I wish they would put more effort into the game as it really has a lot of potential.

For real I don’t get to have every single lb weapon at ob6-10 but beating some hard content without them or just what little I have feels so satisfying but I’m always riding anxiety when I pull because then I’m dry for something else down the line. It’s like do you even bother pulling on normal banners anymore when limits are becoming so frequent

I am a little concerned myself with the amount of limited banners. sure all of them are great but now they feel more like the new normal weapon for the game and they are just trying to use FOMO to make money which I am really sad about. I mean the last time I put a normal weapon in my main hand was so long ago. not to mention we are getting another one in two weeks for sure when Cid become available so I say it might even get worse

Man I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking this. I really hope they listen to the community and hook us up with a way to get old limited weapons in a wish list for new limited banners or just something more than the very small amount of weapon parts.

Considering their latest tactics, in order to reduce fomo anxiety, I think we all need to re-evaluate what a must have is. Bc, to tell you truth, as a low spender with only 37k crystals to her name atm and a 6 mo old account with not many arcanum suits, I feel next to 0 fomo regarding this banner, and here's why. Firstly, even as a newish player with only 3 arcanum suits to her name, I don't think Tifa's costume is the boon everyone seems to think it is in my situation. Quite the opposite, I think it's an effin' nightmare. First, the stats. With my 37k, I can only afford one page which means the weapon will be at most OB2 if I'm lucky, which brings in 25% potency. The costume brings in 30% for each element. If my math is right, that's 55%. The modern arcanum suit comes with 35% for arcanum + 20% potency, making it - also 55%. On the other hand, modern elemental weapons come with 940% damage + 1.2x conditional. Now how many of those has Tifa currently got? Only one, fire mag! The rest are old, limited (lightning) with dubious chance of rerunning or non-existent (earth). All that with 0 knowledge or guarantee of what she gets next. Yes, it's godly if you are a completely new player or returning after a long break or can OB6 the weapon for 40% potency. Me, on the other hand, as a newish player that has still been here for while and can't OB6, have imo next to 0 benefits of pulling on her weapon and costume as they offer me 0 stat benefits over the standard modern arcanum and I would have to build a bunch of old weapons to make it work on top of everything else. The very thought makes me wanna quit the game, so I might as well not bother and just fish for your regular arcanums. Next up, Aerith. Reprieve on a healer... Does not make much sense imo. Reprieve is good on Vincent bc he is a dps and can be built with more damage due to that, plus can finish off the boss with last ditch damage if left as the last man standing. What is Aerith as a healer gonna do as last one standing? Diddly squat as there is noone left to heal. So this one is a potential skip also if you're really down on resources. That said, I think in long term this one offers more benefit than Tifa. If you wanna build an all-Reprieve team, which is now possible, this is where you start. Because another Reprieve dps will turn up eventually, but a Reprieve healer might not. Plus, the outfit is perfect for Reprieve healer, compensating for the lack of other defensive stats due to Reprieve with what is essentially a healing arcanum. Tifa outfit might be better in the short run, but in the long run Aerith might win out for the reasons I stated. So unless you OB6 Tifa or pull her UW, I would think about prioritizing this one instead, which is what I will likely do if I decide to pull the whole first page. So that leaves the Aerith new "reverse Kamura" as the de facto only real must pull on this banner. So feel free to sit back, relax and hoard your crystals cos half anni will be here soon and that's when the real power creep will hit and I wouldn't wanna be caught dry for that one. And don't let fomo ruin your New Year as there is zero reason for that. 🎉🎉

I agree with your closing remarks about limited banners. I think it would be better if they have limited banners every three months if they need money but every other month is very stressful and may turn people off. I ended up skipping most of ff6 to feel secure in my position but I am a casual player and trying not to succumb to FOMO.

i went full 4 pages and ended up with ob6 tifa and ob 6 aerith overall pretty bad bcs had to sacrifice over 80k crystals for that but im a huge tifa and aerith fan, i cant bring myself to skip a banner that has both of their wp in 1 banner

I find the amount of limited banners more annoying and a touch concerning. I don't know how widespread the amount of players quitting the game because of the limited banners, but I trust that there are a few. As a mini-spender, it doesn't really change my position or spending too much. Yet, I can see someone in a different mindset, or someone who enjoys different things about the game and tries to spend accordingly, yeah, I can see them getting overwhelmed and thinking they need to back away. So far, I've not seen anyone in my top 100 guild complain about extensively, nor has anybody leave the game because of the limited banners directly. For me, the more annoying thing is that they're continuing to give us a decent amount of free x10 pulls, but with so many limited banners, the general pool of weapons is becoming full of weapons I already have OB10'd. I imagine it's that much worse for players who spend more than I do. I think a combination of having fewer limited banners and allowing for a personalized thinning of the general pool (within their preset limit of course to keep it proper gambling...) would be a good enough fix to this, but that's still probably far off. I'll be pulling for Tifa's outfit at the very least. I've got close to 90k and was hoping to save directly for Cid's likely Limit Break banner, but I don't have an arcanum at all for Tifa, just her FFIX, FFVI, and 1 year anni oufits. The "all-element" outfit is perfect to cover everything else. Aerith's outfit would be nice, the weapons look great, but I gotta get Cid something so he doesn't just collect dust forever. That's how I like to play.

That’s pretty much why I quit the game. Could see it just getting more, and more predatory because it’s Final Fantasy VII, the cash cow, and it’s stressful than enjoyable in the long run. Too much limited. Bad enough with the costumes being limited, but they’re adding so much squeeze in just one year of the game being out. Square have already lost mostly all their other mobile titles on global but this and WotV, so it’s only going to be downhill from here. Glad I quit though, as I have more time for other games that don’t cost so much to enjoy on console. I’d rather spend the money on Square merchandise and have something for life than whenever they decide to flip the switch and it’s all gone.

Game should be renamed to ever limited. Instead of getting ppls to spend more, I feel like quitting, and I can clear seph crash 3.

Same boat and i am a big whale...i haven never felt more pissed off and aggravated from money grabbing scheme in a game like this one
