They finally gave the heroine of FF7 the white dress and the stage to perform to her the theme song of the game towards the protagonist. We were so missing this in the OG game. I wonder if some of all these new additions are cut room ideas that never made it in the OG 1997 one. Reminder that Hollow (theme song of Remake) was basically a song from Cloud to Aerith so this is just beautiful. I wonder if we will get a duet theme song for Game 3. That’d be perfect.

Just wondering whether the Zack 'timeline' is not really a timeline at all, but just stuff that's going on in Cloud's head/ sub-conscious? The trailers have hinted heavily that Cloud's confusion is a major theme in rebirth. Would be a fun explanation, if feasible.

Did you know that this trailer was released just before the official Clerith day? Its insane! In Japan the reaction was huge since this couple is there way more popular the Cloti. Hollow was a Song of Cloud to Aerith and this song is of Aerith to Cloud. I never seen so many Clerith in your face moments in my life! x__x I thought that Advent Children and Japanese Guide book have many hints already, but Remake and Rebirth are on another level. Me too, always shipped Tifa with Cloud but Remake made me change Tifa with Aerith. I then started to look around and all the hints and references i ignored suddenly became very clear. For example the Credit of Kingdom Hearts, showing all the Couples from each world, there it was, Aerith and Cloud! O.o Now i feel bad for Tifa. Because she is "the other girl" for Cloud, because the only person whom he felt being heard, the person who didnt push him away (Tifa also pushed him away in remake in the beginning i realised) who wanted to be with him and he felt affection like never before, he lost and Tifa is just around and hat Sxx just because they thought they will not survive the last fight and the last fun would be not as bad. Unlike Clerith who grew with Chemistry, Cloti exists with trauma over the loss of Aerith. After i thought many many times, i think that Cloti is not healthy for both of them. Tifa deserves being the first girl (Like Johnny and Rude who have feelings for her and see her as the first love, not replacement) and not secound and Cloud needs Therapy. :( I khope that if Tifa meets Johnny in Costa Del Sol again, they bond somehow. I want Tifa to be happy and if Aerith dosent die and can be happy with Cloud, i want Tifa to be happy too.

My thoughts about the Biggs/Zack scene is - since Zack survived, Cloud never joined Avalanche and the team died in the assault to blow up the reactor - or maybe they died in the explosion. Biggs survived tho cause he had already left from his part.

@@yota1982 Yep, it's the same Aerith! Which means that Shinra either brought her back home or Zack infiltrated their base and brought her home with the help of Biggs. As for Tifa and Barret, I assume that they are also in coma like Aerith. The question is if Shinra is keeping their unconscious bodies somewhere or if Zack also managed to bring them back

It's zack timeline guys, u can see cloud in the background on a chair when marlene talk to zack, and aerith is in the same room with them too (a scene where shes sleeping and zack beside her) which means in zack timeline she's survive too.

We see that Tifa's, Barret's, Red's and Aerith's bodies have been retrieved by Shinra in the Summer Game Fest Trailer. So it's possible that Zack managed to get her while she was in Shinra's custody

The end of FF7 Remake, was also the end of destiny, which marks the separation of timelines. If you remember, there was that scene between Aerith and Marlene in 7th heaven, so we will have Marlene at Aerith's house normally with Elmyra and we will have another Marlene at Aerith's house with Zack, Cloud and a fainted Aerith, after the events seen in a previous trailer, a cyclone in sector 2, where the others seems to be dead or something. So Marlene in both timelines, she knows things....

In the last trailer before Sephiroth says "Is upon us! The Reunion, when worlds merge!" this for me is a message about the all shit that happens in the trailers lol. Zack is in the same timeline as marlene after cloud and the others leave midgar. The worlds is merged, both timelines.

So no one knows whether they're timelines/universes/realities, or something else entirely, but the conventional term being used is 'timelines'. There's a Zack timeline and a Cloud timeline (or Beagle and Terrier). Most people probably exist in both timelines, though the earlier trailers suggested that many major characters are out of commission in Zack's timeline. There should be a Marlene in both timelines, so seeing her with Zack makes sense as we've already seen Zack talking to Elmyra, and when we see Zack with a sleeping Aerith, it's at Aerith's house, where Marlene is. Even if they aren't actually timelines, there are definitely two versions of the story going on, since we've seen two Clouds who are obviously in very different circumstances. I'm sure you two have gotten this recommendation for other FF7 content before, but Maximilian Dood does the best job by far breaking down FF7 in my opinion. Too many commentators on FF7 go down really weird rabbit holes that make no sense. As far as where Rebirth ends, the devs have said that it ends at the Forgotten Capital, but also that events are going to occur in a different order. This makes sense, because the sequence of events on the northern continent is really weird in the OG. If the game ends with that crucial Aerith scene, then Game 3 by the OG would begin with snowboarding out of a ski town, shivering on a mountain, and then huge events at the Northern Crater with no context. That would be a really awkward opening. I personally think it makes the most sense that the Aerith scene has been moved slightly later, so that the Northern Crater, Black Materia, Aerith stuff is all kind of packaged together into a big finale. That way, Rebirth ends at the low point of the story, and Game 3 would start with Tifa and Co. stealing the airship to escape Junon and searching for Cloud. That just seems too logical. But no idea. They've carefully shown us absolutely nothing of that part of the story. In fact, if you think about it, we've actually seen nothing after Cosmo Canyon beyond reveals for Cid and Vincent, so the order of things past that point is really an unknown right now. Which I love. I suspect I'll be going dark on trailers after this one - the launch trailer of Remake was massively spoilery, and I was so glad I didn't watch it before playing the game. I definitely won't risk the launch trailer on Rebirth. Anyway, glad to see you two again, can't wait to experience this game with you!

Theory I have is, one timeline is the lifestream and one is real world so people that die exist in one timeline ie zack biggs ect and aerith will if they don't change her death.

I still believe that this is not an alternate timeline and not quite a parallel world, in the usual meaning, but a world of the Lifestream. Or pre-Lifestream (something like limbo). Zack says he feels every single bullet, like he doesn't understand how he managed to survive (like in those stories about ghosts not realizing they're dead). Aerith is asleep, waiting for her *spoiler* (you know what I mean) in the real world... Once that happens, she wakes up and, as Marlene says, she'll be killed by a "scary man". A lost part of Cloud's subconscious is waiting for another event known to us. That's it. Of course there are holes in this theory (as in other theories), but that's what we have.

of course you could be right, but zack talks with marlene, that is not dead, and talks with Kyrie in sector 6, i think, kyrie is not dead. Here is the problem of your theory. I will pick what sephiroth said in the trailer before "when worlds merge", so, for me this is a result of worlds merged in one, we have 2 timelines in one. This explains zack talking with marlene and Kyrie.

You two are correct, that timeline that Zack survived, many believe it's an alternate timeline created, because of the ending of Remake part 1. The guy in the green suit, he is indeed the person that you talk to in the original game, when Cloud is sent to go race in the chocobo races, to escape from Corel Prison. Honestly, the whole alternate timeline hasn't really been explained at all yet, since there are still many more questions. I'm pretty sure Square-Enix confirmed that FF VII Rebirth will end at the Forgotten City, or the City of the Ancients. I'm pretty sure Marlene in Zack's timeline is referring to Aerith, because of what happens in the original game. And you are correct, Biggs was found to be alive, of what is believed to be the Zack timeline. In Zack's timeline, I believe that's what would have happened, if Zack had survived in the original timeline. Honestly, there are still many more questions, than answers at this point, but I'm excited to see what happens in FF VII Rebirth :)

If there is no alternative timeline like what you are saying. Then all of the Ff7 devs are saying in all of the interviews and news they maid are false. Because the devs said the story of Ff7 remake and all of its parts are going to be pretty much the same. So how can the story be the same but at the same time not? Simple there are two stories being told. One in original form Second the alternate timeline. Or the devs of Ff7 are all big fat liars.

The reason why a lot of people are saying two different timelines, is because Zack is alive in the other one, which doesn’t happen in the original timeline. The timeline that Zack is alive, we have no idea yet on what’s going on. All of this is just based on the information provided in the trailers, and what happened at the end of Remake part 1 The devs said that some of FF 7 Remake will stay the same, but they are changing some parts of it.

If you can point out where this news is? Because I've read everything from the devs. Not one said they are changing the story. They said the orders of places will change but not the overall story.

@@m.i.aa.i.m383 no, there are not two Clouds in one timeline. We have no idea what's going on yet. They are making it seem that there are two different timelines, after the Arbiter ghosts were defeated, but people still don't know exactly what's happening. Plus in the timeline in Remake, we have Cloud with the Buster Sword, but Zack is dead, and then in Zack's timeline, Cloud is still unconscious, and Zack still has the Buster Sword. I mentioned it before, but there are theories currently being created of what's going on, some of the theories are that there are two different timelines, where one was supposed to follow the OG timeline, but now it probably won't be happening the same way, and now we have an alternate timeline, where Zack survived. The one thing they added to the story, that wasn't in the original one, was that Roche is now in the game, and he wasn't in the OG game. Also, fighting Sephiroth at the end of part 1, that's also new. Yes, the developers did say that we'd be revisiting the same locations, but in a different order. I'm not sure why it sounds like you are trying to argue with me about this, when I mentioned in my comment before, that we'll see what happens in FF VII Rebirth. A lot of us don't have any idea of what's happening yet, until FF VII Rebirth releases. However, from the looks of it, there are two different timelines. One timeline follows the OG game more closely, and the 2nd timeline, where Zack is still alive, we'll see what happens.
