I thought that the reason why Zack was unaffected was because A) he already had mako in him B) He had a stronger sense of self, connection to others and a set of beliefs and stuff.

I don't 'hate' you for the Glenn/Ever Crisis stuff, and I'm not even sure if I'd even like it if it was him - but like it or not, Ever Crisis is *so far* supposed to be canonical enough to be related to this trilogy, even if it ends up being in a tiny way. So its worth it to at least take the hour or two to look at the current cutscenes online for learning purposes.

Cloud being cucked would work so well to mess with his mental state and weaken him. Tifa taking care of Marco instead of him for month is a good setup and payoff too. And fits really well with the remake themes of messing with the timeline, and of the greater emphasis on the pseudo love triangle/love square.

I may be being a bit silly here, but I'm sure there were only 3 boys Tifa hung out with in OG not 4 until Cloud tagged along that 1 time... how early did Sephiroth potentially plant Marco?! Also did Aerith have friends in the Shinra building in the OG? I thought Reno was one of her only old acquaintances... It also confused me in Remake that she recognised Tseng in the flashback when he was at Elmyra's house, since in On the Way to a Smile Tseng recalls a young Aerith thanking him for protecting her not realising he was a Turk until he corrected her. I assumed it was just a retcon (especially since that flashback hilariously makes Tseng an ageless being untouched by time lol) but hearing about this new Jack Klien character I'm not sure now. Still desperately curious to see how a Zack & Tseng reunion is going to go in Rebirth, particularly in a world where it Aerith was broadcast on TV looking dead. On that side note poor Marlene! Her Dad & Tifa being broadcast the same way 😢 This being the end result of such small seeming changes sown by Sephiroth from as early as Tifa's and Aerith's childhoods would be crazy!

of course its not obvious, its a bait, but you dont know the end of ever crisis yet, you do know however that glenn, matt and lucia were the first squad of sephiroth since it was his first misson, SEPHs FIRST MISSION!!!. Glenn, "scum of the slums" and a strong willed char, tries to make Seph being more compassionate. i liked the idea of being less shinra troops against zack and glenn could have been one the reasons, either becoming a member of avalanche or even wutai capturing some of those troops or even recruiting them bringing some connection to the encounter clip against seph. IF HE BECAME AN ECO-TERRORIST it might explain his appearance in junon going all kaboom on that cannon!

I'm just speculating now, but it was said that all SOLDIER suffer from cellular degradation. SOLDIER were infused with Jenova cells, which caused this. Cloud on the other hand was infused with S-cells, which seem to be slightly different from pure Jenova cells. Probably a mix of Jenova and Spehiroths DNA, and in CC Genesis wants S-cells to stop his degradation. So I'm assuming that there's something about Sephiroth that counters the degradation.

Yea not buying the marco theory, they showed him literally disintegrate into nothing after you beat jenova dreamweaver and im pretty positive it was jenovas body #2 dove off the roof with . But who knows guess we'll all find out in 5-6 months.
