The ProCub shows a really interesting construction. Beside wings and fuselage, tundra wheels offer advantage for use on unprepaired runways. Congratulations for the design!

Looks like a great plane. Hoping to get some acreage soon and then something like this to follow.

So great looking. This might be the solution of finally owning an airplane. The SLA are too expensive.

I have the kitfox lite, basically the same plane with some differences. Mine is on aluminum floats. It can fly at around 25mph. My friends get a kick out of racing me. Kitfox used to sell the skis for this. This video says "Belite reinvents the cub" but my kitfox is very old and it was based on the cub. I read somewhere that Belite purchased the design from Kitfox. This does look a bit different at least on the outside.

yes this was a modified Kitfox lite and it's sad that it is now defunct.

This particular one might not be part 103 as the tires this big are not possible unless there are major weight savings elsewhere as in the fuselage AND the engine. There are some options Badland Aircraft has that might possibly make tires this size possible but it increases the price considerably because it takes a lot of work and special knowledge to get those weight savings. Does anyone have data on these tires?

The company should add a ski package to it

Such great innovation in aircraft development, Such horrible regulation/suppresion of aviation by the FAA. that part is so sad. Good way to kill Aviation, FAA.....

Any chance of an e-version?
@TonyGodshall5 жыл бұрын
I know a guy that tried an electric version. It's not streamlined enough to get much flight time, unfortunately, so he's going back to internal combustion. For electric, starting with a glider would work better

True. I paid much less for mine second hand. Still, you can get a piper pacer for that, although you don't need a medical and can work on stuff yourself and add floats etc. No rules, so it works out cheaper in the long run.

Screw 103 rules, first thing I’m doing when I get this is bigger wheels, bigger engine, and bigger fuel tank. Who’s gonna check?
@WoutervanTiel2 жыл бұрын
They just might some day, somewhere you least expect it, you will the one who blows it for the rest of us when the FAA then annuls part 103. Thanks in advance! I know that is tempting but just built it like you want and register it as experimental.

parachute, with one your allowed 273lbs empty, if you do it right gets you a few extra lbs to play with.
@TonyGodshall5 жыл бұрын
Floats and parachutes and other safety devices can exceed base weight to some extent. Read the regulation.

Who cares anyway, most 103’s run about 50% overweight anyway, and I don’t blame them.

Not if it has a parachute. I believe max weight of an Ultralight is increased to 278 lbs? Some manufactures use it to make their planes legal. Like the backyard flyer. It wouldn't be legal otherwise
