You’ve got some serious stick skills dude. Great flying showcasing this model! I normally fly larger EPO planes, but I’m tempted to get one as my first flat foamy

Wow, you showcased that model well man. You've been flying consistently for so long now, your piloting skills really stand out. Those acrobatics seem second nature and the Crack seems to suit you just right. Very cool plane and video!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I fly almost every weekend, and I strive to become a better aerobatic pilot every time I head out to the field! Happy flying!

Hey Jon, I can see you in a flight suit some day flying an F-18 super hornet from the deck of a carrier!

My favorite foamy. Almost no rudder for knife edge (or it'll start climbing)

I know!! It’s amazing!

Nice flight John! I have lots of scratch built depron planes for normal flying CG at 33% MAC, Crack is my only kit plane and I just started to practice some 3D manoeuvres. I set it up for 3S with 450 mAh battery, and flying in parks often windy. I would appreciate if you can give me some first hand tips. First thing I have noticed that Crack can not be turn as my other planes using ailerons and a bit of elevator. It just going to knife edge without turn. So I use rudder for turns which is very effective. Which way you do it ? Secondly when I set CG balance point at hinge line it was a bit tail heavy and climbing a bit when inverted. So I moved it a bit forward to exact point by manual. Seems ok now. What is your CG position and how do you test it in the air. John

Hey Jon, great video. BTW how did u learn the 3-D ?
@JonsRC4 ай бұрын
Thank you! I mainly learn maneuvers on Realflight, just messing around and trying new things out. I then carry it over to real life with one of these profile planes! Like I mentioned in the video, these EPP models are basically a “real life simulator” as the foam Twisted uses is impenetrable, and it’ll keep on flying no matter what!

Wow -you can really throw her around. Can this be used to train for 3d? Or can you recommend any other twisted hobby plane ? Thanks
@JonsRC4 ай бұрын
Thank you! This one can absolutely be used to train for 3D, however I feel that the Standard Crack Yak 32” would be a bit easier for a beginner. It shares the same building philosophy, but it takes less time due to it simply being a mono-wing. The control surfaces are a bit more tame, but still aggressive enough to do absolutely anything you want out of her. Have fun and happy flying!
