Never use a power tool to do up screws holding light materials together unless on a very low (wrist tight) torque setting, a power tool will rapidly fatigue the thread on male and female fasteners depending which is the softer material, it's fine to undo them using one though.

Do a search on the N Number - N433AC it's visable during the hanger roll-out. You will find among other things what the engine is, HKS 700 2 cylinder 60 HP

I did yellow so we could see it well from the ground. Being the first one we had to do a lot of test flights and yellow was a good color to pic out of the sky.

As a long time pilot I've heard more than my share of noisy, droning aircraft engines. This music turns an otherwise sterile mechanical exercise into a spiritual, ethereal, other-wordly experience.

Congratulations on the first flight. It's a good looking little plane. Pay no attention to the internet trolls who criticize you for the soundtrack. They will always complain about something while they are living in their parents basement. They're probably not smart enough to know how to turn off the sound on their computer anyway. It's a great song by the way.

Flies beautifully. Good piloting. I love the shape of it, kinda looks a little like thos racing planes back in the '30's. Unfortunately all the sounds of the aircraft were drowned out by the music.

David, would be nice to have written or spoken more about the plane, since it's such an off-the-beaten-path A/C. Including the engine. Cowling makes it look like a radial. Is it the small Rotec? How has it been holding up?

@@LevinMedia Uh...I'm thinking more like why doesn't it weigh something in the line of 250lbs like a Starlite. I think they didn't even use carbonium, straight feebleglass with a bit of wood, no carbon. Why is it so heavy? How can it be so heavy? The starlight had something like 6+G (I forgit) I do love the looks of that plane. It's scream'n for retracts, though.

@@cluelessbeekeeping1322 The starlite is just a totally different class of plane... a 2 stroke ultralight - still very cool in it's own right though! The weight you quoted for a starlite is it's empty weight, it's max gross is ~550 - the weight of the LT-1 on the scales in the video was fully loaded with fuel, oil, pilot and parachute. The empty weight is ~510. LT1 in this video was powered by a 4 stroke engine, and cruised around 129kts true, compared to the 89kt cruise speed of the Starlite. He's working on a revision to the front end so it will accept a Rotax 912uls - that should significantly boost it's top end speed and rate of climb. And yes, retractable would be sweet... or a tailwheel.
