This is by far the coolest, best content on aeroponics i have come across in my research. I am working on building a modular system to measure varied growing conditions for a single plant. This video is perfect, but the only thing i am still trying to understand is the the recirculation of nutrient? How can i design a closed system, and what do i need to monitor in the process? Pressure tank worries me and only mentioned briefly. Would like an introduction/explaination of how this system works. Pressureswitch? Gauge? One way valves? First time i have heard about it. Otherwise how do you control the run cycles on the pump? You need some special equipment or pump with built in controls. Trying to be a bit economical. Very infomative video. Thanks brother. what pressure tank ? if it's rated for maximum 100 psi. the pump doesnt turn off?

If you're using pvc tubing, it will blow before your tank blows at 200psi.

Hey Paul, What a loaded question. For now you want smaller pumps for redundancy. HPA can grow lettuce very well. I do it all the time.

What would you suggest for back up power where I live electricity is fairly good might go out once or twice a yr

You'll need two UPSs. One for the pump and one for your solenoid controller. With the right programming, your system can endure a 24 hour power loss.

I use a 12V pump, 12V timer and 12V solenoid powered by a 110Ah leisure battery. The battery charger runs on a timer. Gives me piece of mind

There's no right answer. Too many factors to discuss here. However, more sensitive plants find it a challenge to do well when recirculating the nutrient. Thanks for asking.
