This is by far the coolest, best content on aeroponics i have come across in my research. I am working on building a modular system to measure varied growing conditions for a single plant. This video is perfect, but the only thing i am still trying to understand is the the recirculation of nutrient? How can i design a closed system, and what do i need to monitor in the process? Could you recommend any literature or videos on how to incorporate that into my design? Thank you!!!

Pressure tank worries me and only mentioned briefly. Would like an introduction/explaination of how this system works. Pressureswitch? Gauge? One way valves? First time i have heard about it. Otherwise how do you control the run cycles on the pump? You need some special equipment or pump with built in controls. Trying to be a bit economical. Very infomative video. Thanks brother. I enjoy your work.

Hi i am thinking of setting up aeroponics commercial system. let say i wanted to grow 1000 lettuce can i grow these as one unit of 1000 or is better to split this up? what is practical or not is this idea? also what about the pressure pump one big pump or smaller pumps. how can i work out what size pressure pumps i will need for different sizes systems where can i find this info.

Hey Paul, What a loaded question. For now you want smaller pumps for redundancy. HPA can grow lettuce very well. I do it all the time.

Is it really necessary to not recycle the nutrient waste? If I put the nutrient waste back to the reservoir, would it really cause problems?

There's no right answer. Too many factors to discuss here. However, more sensitive plants find it a challenge to do well when recirculating the nutrient. Thanks for asking.

what pressure tank ? if it's rated for maximum 100 psi. the pump doesnt turn off?

If you're using pvc tubing, it will blow before your tank blows at 200psi.

You'll need two UPSs. One for the pump and one for your solenoid controller. With the right programming, your system can endure a 24 hour power loss.

I use a 12V pump, 12V timer and 12V solenoid powered by a 110Ah leisure battery. The battery charger runs on a timer. Gives me piece of mind
