As a person who has been playing for three years and has never taken a real guitar lesson, I can safely say, if you can't work out how to play it by listening to the records, Marty Schwartz is your guy, you can follow his lessons even if you don't know theory and other things of the like, chill guy, good guitar player, and overall unit.

Thanks Marty. Not sure if others have mentioned it - but I think the verse astinato is played all open with pulloffs on the g string 5-2-0 3-2-0 you start with a C chord base (3rdfret 5th string C, 2ndfret 4thstring E). super easy and really fun.

Awesome Marty! I've been watching your videos for 7+ years, and I've learned so much from watching ya (......and still learning more and more each year). I'm such a student, and your videos are easy to follow and learn from. After 7+ years of showing me how to improve my guitar skillz, I could probably owe ya a bunch of money by now! :) I hope KZbin treats you guys (the authors of posted videos) good/with decent compensation. I'm not sure how all that goes, but I hope they compensate decently. I always make sure to "like, subscribe, and click that dang bell button" on all your videos that I come across, and hopefully that is the way you guys get paid more by KZbin.

the riff in the verses section is super laid back and funky and it puts Joe Perry in the spotlight on how rock *AND ROLL* he was/is - learning that riff (not the main one but the one played up on the C chord 8th fret in the verses) takes tremendous practice if you are new and your goal should be to execute the rhythm. forget the notes, you can mess them up for now in order to get the rhythm down because if you do - you will open up your guitar playing from just straight rock to a more swing sound on your 2s and 4s and you'll be a MUCH BETTER PLAYER if you can master the RHYTHM of the part. It's swing. Same thing goes, at an even quicker speed, for VH's I'm the One.
