TomsReviews, absolutely right. Aerosmith was essentially a local garage band that succeeded through raw ambition. In the early 70's, there were thousands of bands that started out just like Aerosmith. The vast majority of them didn't make it. The fact that their 1971 lineup is identical to their 2021 lineup blows me away. (Btw, you have to wonder, if John Bonham hadn't died in 1980, would Led Zeppelin have made it all the way to 2021 with their original lineup?)

@@dodgecrockett3474 That’s the truth! Their first rehearsal space outside their apartment building was the basement of my BU dorm at West Campus 1. It was a nice new 12 story building and, even in my room at the opposite end, 1224, could not be “free” of them once they started jamming out. Partly, it echoed up the elevator shaft like a giant speaker, but, mainly, they played LOUD! 😁 I never saw them hold back or get “fussy”. Still, in the half dozen or so times I was down there watching them, there was never anyone else! Just me and the Bad Boys from Boston. And they were cool guys. Something else -- Joe's technical skill is better now than it was in the '70s. For example, he does faster picking in some of his live stuff of the past 15 or 20 years than I ever heard him do on the classic studio albums, and he plays around with scales other than the good ol' pentatonic blues box. Either he practiced a lot in recent years, or he was always that good and the drugs just held him back.

That's great info. I did notice he threw a hendrix riff in-between his solo, on this live version of Sweet-emotion. I thought that was really inavative. Enjoy good music my friend.

BY FAR THE BEST FIDELITY of any live material I've ever heard. Tyler and Kramer are in perfect sync. Just from where I sit, losing Kramer was a total lose/lose situation for all concerned.
