Years ago, I was working as a cashier at a Phillips 66 station in Albuquerque. This guy comes in with a kid, normal looking guy, normal looking kid. Years ago I was stopped by a group of people who asked for directions to a local supermarket. I told them that store closed about 10 years before. The look of absolute terror on their faces when I said that, was really freaky. I saw the group the next day standing at a bus stop. I had a psych professor who struck me as being something more (or less) than human. At first it was her appearance - her skin looked as if she were ice cold. I mean frozen-looking. I could not stop thinking about it, even late at night, and could not think of an explanation. She also seemed unacquainted with humor. Joe fears that he is seen as naive believer so he goes too much to the direction of skeptic. Balance is what you need, be skeptical to a degree but be open to admit when evidence points to a certain direction no matter where it leads. When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable must be the truth. And aliens explanation is not that far fetched at all now when we know how big the universe is and how common are planets that can support life. I see it like this: Odds of alien life = 100%, Odds of intelligent alien life = 100%, Odds of them being here = 100% (because we see their tech all the time and have seen for decades).
